Stone-Eye Belozi

NAME: Stone-Eye Belozi D'Ghallanda
The Talenta Halflings tend to have similar names, hence they go by nicknames or pronounced features that stand out. Belozi is also born with the Mark of Hospitality, making him a member of the Ghallanda family.

GENDER: Male
It is hard to mistake him for anything else. The man refuses to shave his sideburns or wear a shirt.

RACE: Halfling, Mark of Hospitality
The Halflings of the Talenta Plains maintain the traditions of their ancestors, including tribal masks and dinosaur mounts. Though physically the same as urban Halflings, the Talentas strike a much more imposing figure. Rarely in one place for long, the nomadic tribes traverse the Talenta Plains moving with the herds they hunt for food. With only one permanent settlement in the whole of the Talenta Plains—Gatherhold—these nomadic bands live in temporary camps of tents that are easily set up and broken down. The Talenta Halflings carry few possessions, both as a function of their nomadic lifestyle and as a function of their beliefs. Their tents are brightly painted, usually with depictions that tell the story of their tribe's ancestors. Most important among the Halfling's possessions are their hunt-masks and their dinosaur mounts.

The Mark of Hospitality is unique, appearing only on the Halfling race. Its powers are tied to food and shelter, staples of any community and an incredible boon when out in the wilds. House Ghallanda members bear the Mark of Hospitality and make use of their abilities both on their native plains as well as running the lucrative Hostelers Guild. While the guild may not own every inn and restaurant in town they do enforce strict standards that must match their own levels of quality and comfort. Those who lack dragonmarks within the house are still able to run some of the finest establishments in all of Khorvaire and, mark or no, members of House Ghallanda take pride in their service.

DEITY: The Ancestors
Belozi does not take to the faith like most do. Talenta Halflings revere their ancestors as great spirits. Family, dinosaurs and other animals can stick around the realm of the living, offering guidance to those who offer them enough tribute. Belozi personally believes he has a multitude of dinosaur spirits watching over him as he raised a lot of them in his youth. Those who perished have always weighed heavy on his heart.

CLASS: Fighter, Cavalier
Born to the saddle, Belozi was trained as a warrior within his tribe. He was taught mounted combat at a young age and learned martial proficiency while staying light on his feet.

BUILD: Short but muscular
Having trained his whole life Belozi is quite fit for a Halfling. Among his fellow Talenta he is about average, but compared to most people, average is pretty well toned.

AGE: 27
Belozi is quite young still, making a name for himself. The average Halfling lives as long as Humans do. Belozi is coming to a point in his life where he must decide whether to settle down or really work on becoming a legend.

HAIR: Light Brown, short
Stone-Eye keeps his thick head of hair short with his sides shaved. His sideburns he lets grow thick and wild as they are a sign of pride to him.

SKIN: Tanned
Most Talenta Halflings sport a tan skin. Most notable about Belozi is how beyond the Mark of Hospitality glowing on his back he chooses not to get any tribal tattoos like most Talenta Halflings would.

EYES: Dull grey
Belozi's name comes from his grey eyes, which are not quite as common among Talenta Halflings, who more often than not sport blue or brown eyes.

ALLIGMENT: Chaotic Good
Belozi tries to do what is best for people and for his animals. While he does not exactly rebel against society, he simply doesn't understand it. The many rules and laws confuse Belozi to no end. People in cities do things that are nonsensical to him and his on-the-move lifestyle. Though he does understand the benefits and comforts that come from city life, he vastly prefers the wild outside where the law of the jungle is what is most important. Such a simple way of life he can handle quite well.

PERSONALITY: Stubborn, curious, straightforward, achievement-oriented
Belozi is out on a mission, and he is very thorough in getting it done. The man isn't the most sociable. In fact, he believes himself to be a lot more intimidating than he truly is and often misjudges a situation when dealing with people. That said, he is quite hospitable, kind even if anyone takes the time to get through his walls he sets up for himself.

While it's easy to imagine Stone-Eye's passion in life is dealing with dinosaurs and fighting, these are only half truths. He enjoys animals' company greatly, has a great respect for nature and enjoys a good brawl to prove his worth. But above all, Belozi is passionate about cooking. He adores cuisine and it is the main reason he was excited to leave the Talenta Plains! He's eager to learn about new dishes, ways to cook food and how to improve it. To really get through to Stone-Eye, all you need to do is start talking about food to fire up his passion.
