Adrienna Grüsh

Adrienna is a young adult Half Orc with pale-green skin and deep blue eyes. Long pointed ears poke through long, deep-purple died hair. Two small tusk-like teeth protrude from the bottom row, only visible when her mouth is agape. She has a lithe, athletic body with extra muscle normal to her race. Adrienna normally wears civilian clothes typically consisting of loose fitting, breathable shirts and athletic tights.

Adrienna, like many of the 29th century, grew up an orphan within the streets of City Seventeen. Overindulgent bars, pubs and clubs, shady alleys and dodgy businesses were not only commonplace, but in many aspects was the law. If you weren't able to be the predator, you became the prey. Adrienna had all the telling of the prey- quiet, softspoken, avoided trouble at every opportunity. And though she had passion, a passion for the books, she spent most of her time running and hiding from the slavers, gangs and occasional monster that made its way within the city limits. If you didn't make something of yourself in City Seventeen, you were left behind and forgotten.

Adrienna always had an interest in the mystical, admiring the heroes on the tv slinging their spells and fighting off the beasts that posed threat to civilians. But she couldn't ever manage any more than a haste spell to move quicker, a spell she often used to get out of dangerous situations. Rather, if she was forced to fight with no escape possible, she'd rely on her natural born strength. She was no fighter, but could in the very least throw a punch if needed.

Poverty abound, Adrienna found friends in only a small group of scruffy survivors, a mix of various races, they were the only ones she could call friends. The group simply went from day to day, rolling with the punches and doing what they must in order to simply survive. Thankfully, the city was familiar enough with the homeless that they rarely found trouble with others- where everyone else were focussed on their businesses, gang wars, sex and drugs, Adrienna and her compatriots focussed on food, shelter, warmth and whatever joy they could find.

Sometimes referred to as New Tokyo before the Deed of Unification, City 17 has become one of the largest cities in the new world, absorbing both cities 6 and 13 due to their growth overlapping. Many agree that city 17 have grown too large, with no amount of police and authorities able to monitor the many shady deeds that occur within it's walls. Humans, elves, dwarves, orcs and trolls all share the city, and although the city has strict anti-racism policies in place, many of the gangs home to the city streets feature mono-race members that often fight exclusively with gangs of other races.
