Appearance: Dralbarn is a massive and imposing man standing at about nine feet tall. He has a powerful frame of muscles, though this is complemented by a layer of fat due to the excessive amount of food Dralbarn eats. He has long black hair that’s messy and unkempt going both down his front and back, along with a messy beard. Tribal tattoos cover his form.

Dralbarn typically doesn’t wear much. Wooly boots and ragged brown pants, perhaps even a champion’s faud cover his legs. Otherwise, he remains shirtless. Dralbarn seldom replaces clothes, often because very few items fit his size.

Dralbarn carries with him two weapons; a two handed sword and a heavy serrated ax. Under normal circumstances, these would be two handed weapons. However, Dralbarn can wield both in one hand with ease.
Personality: Dralbarn is a bold and boisterous figure who grabs life by the horns and wrestles to the ground. He lives, breathes, eats, and pummels for the spirit of adventure and family that his travels have given him. He’ll be the first to charge headlong into battle, and the first to call a feast.

Dralbarn also places a strong emphasis on family. However, what he considers family is very loose. Any adventurer that shares and sacrifices with him is as good as family as far as he is concerned. Because of this, Dralbarn will often go to great lengths to motivate and protect his comrades.

Dralbarn, unfortunately, has a tendency to also not take things seriously enough until it’s close to too late. He’s confident about many situations he gets himself into until one of his friends or family is hurt or worse. Court etiquette, for this reason, is far beyond Dralbarn.

Dralbarn also loves to drink. Any kind of alcohol is a good beverage for Dralbarn. Thankfully, due to his sheer size, Dralbarn seldom gets drunk. Though, gods help whoever around when he is.

Powers and Abilities: Dralbarn is a barbarian, and thus brings immense ferocity when he goes into battle. Due to his heritage alone, Dralbarn is already incredibly powerful. He’s able to easily punch through entire walls, even those made of stone and armor.

Dralbarn is strong enough to wield both a two handed sword and two handed axe at the same time. Not only that, but he is extremely proficient at fighting with any two weapons, not just swords and axes. Overall, Dralbarn is a dangerous foe to fight up close.

However, that’s where his drawbacks come in. Dralbarn is not particularly fast, nor does he have any means of attacking from range. As such, Dralbarn is reliant on his team to take on ranged foes.

Backstory: Dralbarn did not know his mother. According to his father, she was a giant that Dothnud had slept with in his travels. Dralbarn was left at the foot of the village afterwards. Given that Dralbarn grew up to be a massive man, it made enough sense to him.

Dralbarn grew up as an outcast. His sheer size and his reputation as a half giant made it hard for him to have friends. Many were afraid of him, and others hated him simply for existing. Even his father considered him to be more of a prized trophy.

Naturally, when Dralbarn became old enough, he went out on his own. Feeling no connection to those around him, he sought to do the only thing he had known how to do his whole life; fight. He went to battlefields at a young age, where his imposing size and ferocity trounced anyone who dared challenge him to single combat.

That was until he was beaten by a man much shorter and lighter than him. A veteran warrior, leader of a mercenary band, had both disarmed and laid low Dralbarn. Aghast, Dralbarn asked how he managed to defeat him so effortlessly. “The strength of my bonds.” The veteran replied.

Dralbarn was humbled by the prospect. He immediately began to follow this man on many adventures. He learned the value of friendship and the bonds of companions; for the first time ever, Dralbarn had felt as though he found a family.

The old warrior died years later, and his team disbanded with him. Dralbarn was saddened, but he took the lessons to heart. He began his own path, forming a new band of mercenaries and adventurers along the way. Now, he fights for comradery and family.
