Appearance: Sergio is a tall and well defined man with slightly broad shoulders and toned arms. He has long black hair and blue eyes, coupled with a five o'clock shadow. His body is covered in scars, but he hides it underneath his clothes whenever he can.

In his time with the military, Sergio used to wear scalemail armor that was light and breathable. While he could technically choose any color he wanted, he preferred to wear the golden mantle of Leone when heading into battle. His long sword was decorated with ornate runes, and his spear had winged embroidery on it to match his helm.


Now that his past is behind him, Sergio wears simpler clothes. Tight medium sleeve shirts and travelers pants are all he needs to get through the day.
Personality: Sergio is a charming, witty, and charismatic individual who can win the heart of just about anyone he comes across. He’s a people person who enjoys the company of others. Even as he tries to get forward with a quiet retirement from combat life, he still enjoys putting a smile on childrens’ faces regaling his exploits during his time.

Sergio has a fondness of horses and their proper care. His steed from his glory days had been with him during the entirety of his career, and the pair held a deep bond. While the loss of his steed was devastating, it created an appreciation of the animals and decided his occupation from then on.


For all his strengths, Sergio isn’t perfect. His past and his last mission traumatically affected him in a way he refuses to be open about. Metaphorical and physical scars hound his very being, and even now Sergio gets shaken by the memories of the battlefield. If he wasn’t tending horses, he’d probably have turned to the bottle years ago. As a result of it all, Sergio has difficulty opening up about how he really feels.


Sergio has an intense mistrust of the Leone Government after what had happened. He wants nothing to do with them and sends all enjoys away.
Powers and Abilities: In his near half a century of life, Sergio had picked many skills. He was one of the few people to obtain the title of “Maestro de Armas”. This means that he is considered a master of the sword, spear, bow, and horse within Leone. Not only that, but Sergio is one of the youngest to obtain such a title.

These four weapons are not the only weapons Sergio has mastered either. Improvised weaponry comes naturally to the man in his years of combat experience. His resourcefulness also makes in a deadly tactician in both single battles and full scale ones.

As he’s retired, though, Sergio has lost his edge. In recent years, he’s only trained with the sword and done so sparingly. Farming has been his primary focus, even as adept as he is at it. Not only that, but his body isn’t what it used to be.
Backstory: Born to lower class farmers on the outskirts of the Leone Protectorate, Sergio Slavomir was no stranger to war. Skirmishes happened on the outskirts of his farm all the time. The sound of bloody cries and weapons clashing was ever present. His father did his best to ignore it, but Sergio had always been fascinated in what commitment people had to give up everything to fight.

When he was old enough, he joined the military to find the answer to that exact question. He was fed the propaganda that Leone was always about law and order. That without law and order, everything would become dust. Their enemies were without one or the other, and for that they must be taught otherwise.

Sergio believed it wholeheartedly.

With that, he fought and fought well. Starting off as a lowly infantryman, he worked his way through the ranks. He tried every weapon that Leone had to offer until he was good at all of them. At the young age of 27, he had received the title of “Maestro de Armas”; the youngest to ever receive the title. Along with arms, he had been given a steed, Pimienta. The two formed a deep bond as they fought on the field, becoming near inseparable.

After his term in the military, he became a mercenary, taking odd jobs to silence bandits and monsters alike. He still reported directly to the Lord Commander, but he did so along with other things. He was paid generously, and the people respected him.

It was only one campaign that destroyed it all…

At the age of 32, Sergio was requested to scout a border of a possible incursion. He was given the coordinates, mounted up on Pimienta, and rode off. What he and his division weren’t told was that he was traveling off territory and would run into an enemy patrol.

The inevitable skirmish that followed was a slaughter. His men were outnumbered four to one, and he had to fight for his life. His men were almost routed. He had to retreat. Pimienta, his companion and friend, was killed.

He marched back to the Lord Commander, only learning then that he had been used as a pawn to spur another war. Sergio’s blood boiled and he marched to confront the Lord Commander directly. He threatened to take the truth to the public, with only the threat of his life stopping him.

Yet, they were at an impasse. Sergio was well loved by the public, yet the Lord Commander was well received by the military. Either making a move against the other would devolve Leone into Chaos.

Sergio chose the only way out he could… quiet retirement. Returning to his family farm, he worked the fields and tended to his elderly parents. After his father died, he inherited the farm. He was rich from his exploits, but he did hard work to escape his woes. The flames of passion were still there, but caged in a lamp of his own design. In retirement, he languished. Who knows when the time will come to fight for his destiny again.
