Annalise Ward

Annalise was naive, simply put. Coddled by overprotective parents, she had eyes untainted by the harsh realities of the world at large. She was optimistic despite her grim powers, often to a fault, and struggled to see anything but the best in people, often just wanting everyone to get along. She treated everyone as a friend, even those who were harsh were met with respect. She was intelligent, well read and understood the world on paper, but didn't have the experience to back it up.

Annalise had a mostly normal upbringing, until a run in with a visitor triggered a series of events that would change her future forever. At the age of 12, Annalise discovered she was a medium- her powers of sight were incredible. Through touching an abandoned teddy, Annalise saw the grizzly death of a child in a car crash play out before her eyes as if it truly happened. Though this event did traumatise the 12 year old, she recovered only a couple weeks later theough her endless optimism, turning that initial terrifying scene into a fascination and passion. Ever since that fateful moment, she's been able to see the visitors, making their study her passion. Her parents went along with it, pushing her to join an agency, and at the age of 18 she agreed without second thought.

She struggled, however, to find employment. Agency employers saw her as nothing but a child without life experience. Her youthful and boundless optimism told the Agencies that she had no idea what she was doing, despite her powerful abilities. With all the big name agencies out of the picture, she had to settle for something small...
