Personality: Nuarn is a stern and strict man with a military sort of stiffness about him. He cares deeply about keeping people in line, as he forwardly believes that it is the only thing keeping his people from being the savages they once were. On any battlefield, he will speak loudly and with conviction.

Yet, one who can be so rigid can also be fragile in the wake of change. He sticks to his ideals firmly, but any chance to break them may change his entire worldview. For that reason, he often listens only to himself and the propaganda his country entails.

Outside of combat and duty, though, Nuarn is a significantly calmer man. He enjoys activities that allow him to not think so rashly, such as woodcarving and reading. He’ll even speak more softly than he usually would.
Appearance: Nuarn is a tall and broad figure who is in excellent physique. He has long straight black hair with a long braided beard. His eyes are brown.

Without his armor, Nuarn’s body his covered in hair in all the relevant areas. This befits his southern barbarian heritage, no matter how civilized Drumikas citizens make themselves out to be. Along with this, scars align his body from many battles that he has fought.

Nuarn typically wears light furs and leather garbs when he is outside of combat, with a bear claw necklace around his neck. Along with most of his kingdom, his clothes are not adorned in a particular color outside of the fur the animals come from. That said, Nuarn tends to favor gray or black.

In battle, Nuarn wears heavier cloaks and leather armor. These are often made from durabeast hide, which can be as tough as steel armor. He carries two steel swords on his back as well as a heavy wooden shield also coated in Durabeast hide.
Backstory: Nuarn was born to a wealthy family within the Drumikas region. Having had a silver spoon in his mouth and falling for the propaganda of his home territory, he joined the military at a young age. From there, he quickly rose up the ranks and became a captain before he knew it.

Nuarn deeply loved his country and would do anything to defend. Countless times, he was sent on to excursions into the barbarian territory. In Drumikas’s name, he slaugthered the savages that were ‘plaguing his lands’. It was only one particularly terrible day that it would all change.

In a preemptive raid against a barbarian village, Nuarn rushed into the fray to strike down at any of the savages. However, what he found was nothing more than women and children. Nuarn’s bloodlust got the better of him in the first few moments. By the time he realized what he had done, it was already too late. Dozens had already been slaughtered, and his men had only followed Nuarn’s example.

Only then did Nuarn learn the horrors and nuances of war. Now, though, he battles between his duty and loyalty to his country and the better morality that plagues the back of his mind.
Powers and Abilities: Nuarn’s primary ability stems from his years of command as a captain in the army. His level-headedness and ferocity can give his troops morale on the field and a way forward in the overall battle. His command structure even allows troops to garner information quickly; of course, this is only when Nuarn isn’t bloodlusted.

On a personal level, Nuarn is extremely adept in physical combat. Particularly, the sword and shield are his favorite tools against any and all opponent. With his skills, he is often capable of fighting multiple foes at once in desperate situations. Even with this in mind, Nuarn is still dangerous in one on one encounters.

One of his particular abilities is battlecry. With this, he can flurry his allies into a frenzy that give them enhanced strength and reaction time. Some have even akinned it to magic.
