• Description

  An odd little creature, to be sure. Hair a puff of soft white fuzz covering her head, a sharp face peeks out at the the world with deep green eyes, full of avid interest. Willowy body, only slightly curved, is clothed in a fine cotton gown, the color a somber black, with only the smallest amount of silver embroidery at the flowing sleeves, the hemline, and over her heart, where an embroidered E announces that she is somehow associated with Lord Spellcarver. Her skin is an odd grey green color, and where it is visible it is smooth to the touch. The female's smile reveals a fine set of teeth, all an odd purplish color, green where they meet her gums. Mage sight would show strange runes glowing beneath her clothing.

• Abilities/Quirks

  The runes on Tathar's skin are a very complex set of magical instructions, and a few have very noticeable results.
  
  Healing Blood: Tathar's blood is in reality a gooey clear sap, and has healing properties. A tablespoon of the stuff might cure one of a moderately bad headache, while draining her completely could bring someone back from the edge of unnatural death.
  
  Lover's Kiss: Tathar's saliva is a mild aphrodisiac.
  
  Homunculus's Obedience: Tathar is unable to refuse aid to those asking for help in a magical capacity, no matter how distasteful she might find the task. Should she become distressed while offering such help, her personality may fade for the duration of the task allowing her base 'programming' to take over. Simple commands are required at that point. She is able to refuse aid in any non-magical task, but finds doing so difficult and will usually do her best to help if asked.
  
  Magician's Conduit: Tathar has the ability to sense magical workings in the world around her. Small spells must be near to the woman for her to feel them, while great castings may be felt from miles away. The homunculus can also be used to amplify a mage's powers, if they are aware of how to use her in this way.

• Sensing Tathar

  Vampires and blood-drinkers: Tathar's blood is a sticky sweet sap with a faintly bitter aftertaste. The flavor varies a little depending upon what she has been eating. It is not very nourishing for vampires, though as stated above, has healing properties.
  
  Empaths: A bundle of nerves, the little woman is constantly worried over the politeness of her social interactions. Each question or request made by her binds her up with worry over potential punishments, and harsh tones or sudden violent motion produces acute terror. She is calm only when she believes herself alone, or is in the company of Lord Spellcarver or Illandi Bondsmiller.
  
  Scent: A faintly willowy scent clings to her, along with the occasional scent of chocolate.
  
  Soul/Aura Sensors: Tathar feels wrong to anyone who can sense these things. Her soul appears to be a scrap torn out of a larger being and bolstered by masses of earth magic into something resembling a whole, and her Aura is a constantly fluctuating thing chained down with various runes.

• Biography

  Tathar was created eighteen years ago, one of the many experiments produced by a lady mage well versed in earth and plant magicks. One of the mage's many companions, Tathar learned only those things required for her station in life, and so spent her years in the woman's home and garden, providing extra entertainment at lonely teas, reading poetry as the woman's eyes failed, and learning all manor of medicine to supplement her natural affinity for healing as the mage's health failed.
  
  Once the lady mage passed on, the Homunculi who were once the woman's only companions were cast out by the inheritor of her estate, who had no use for 'creepy plant people'. Afterward, Tathar took to wandering, seeking a new place to call home which could utilize her skills while embracing her eccentricities.
  
  Now living upon the Island of Dandria's Rest and working as the lord of the island's majordomo, cook, and gardener, the first thing most new visitors to the island hear from the little woman is, "I am Miss Tathar Maksa, of Lord Spellcarver's household. As his liaison to the island I give you the lord's welcome, and ask if any of you require any assistance?"
