  • Equipment:

  -Cigarettes, preferably rolling tobacco but whatever is available is acceptable, plus filters and papers aren't the easiest things to find, and matches or a lighter (whichever is available, or none at all if she cant find or buy one from someone.)
  -A walkie talkie she managed to recover from the old days. The other one is with Markus, who has strict instructions to call on her at any sign of danger. The batteries are rechargable, and she takes them to be juiced up on a regular basis by a local once electrician.
  -A long bladed kitchen knife, originally designed to hack into large chunks of meat.
  -A longbow and 22 steel-capped arrows, which she possesses from before the uprise of the zombies, when she used to take an archery class.

• Biography

  Ada was somewhat of a 'wild-child,' or at least that's how she was titled by her disapproving mother. She assumed (very accurately) that her mothers' intolerance for almost everything she did came from a fear that Ada would end up the same way, having a child young with a man who couldn't care less.
  Ada never would have thought her mothers' fears were completely valid, but they were. At sixteen she wound up pregnant to a boyfriend prone to violence and not at all excited about becoming a father, working full time at a dead-end restaurant, still in Canton, and kicked out of her family home. Or that's the way she tells it.
  Max, her boyfriend, managed to stick it out until labour day came, but one look at her on that hospital bed, covered in placenta and filth and he walked right out the door, not even waiting to see his son.
  She'd finished her apprenticeship at this point, having started when she was fifteen, and had done well enough to get a short maternity leave.
  
  By the time little Markus was two, she was working as the head chef for the same restaurant, living a subdued but stable existence.
  Oftentimes she wished for something to happen, anything, just to break the monotony. Not that she didn't love Markus, he was, without a doubt, her pride and joy, and she was somewhat of an overprotective, over-affectionate mother, but she had often dreamed of leaving Canton when she was younger, seeing the world, the old story.
  
  She didn't expect to get her wish for excitement fulfilled so soon. Or for something to be a zombie apocalypse. She was terrified, oblivious to what to do when a pack of them broke through the windows of the restaurant. Probably she would have died, if she hadn't brought Markus with her to work that day. A mother with a child in danger is a force to be reckoned with, and Ada fought her way to her son and escaped the building, leaving a trail of dead or dying zombies behind her. She reached a safer spot, with people more equipped to deal with the problem to protect her, and survived the initial onslaught.
  
  Now she works as a chef / cook for the town, her wish to leave Canton strongly rethought.
