• Description

  He looks like a relative newcomer to the settled lands. Just another grey timber wolf come in from the cold wild out-lands. But he smiles readily enough, and laughs like any friendly face. Brown leather and green cloth cover his form and from his waist hangs a belt laden with travelers pouches. An old worn longsword hangs there as well. He is always covered in the dust of the road, and smells of the woods and campfire smoke.

  Five years have passed. His gear is worn from the assaults of wind, rain, and time. Cloth more grey, leather faded to a crackled tan. Their owner not much better off. Fur grown unkempt and wild, boots and gloves long gone and replaced with wraps of discarded cloth. The wooden ring on his finger faded to a bone-like grey and worn nearly smooth.

• Biography

  Hunwald is a native of the forests west of Mount Kasuria and south of Malgrave. He is from a family of villagers and forest folk who dwelt in that area for generations. As time wore on, his people migrated elsewhere. For Hunwald, he moved to the west forest of the Desdemond district, and has lived there, hunting and trapping for a couple years in quiet solitude. In the last year, Greystone tavern has sprung up a dozen miles or so to the east of his home, bringing all the trouble of the nation to this little corner of Kasuria.

  With the burning of Greystone, he has wandered across Kasuria, searching for something. Few may mark the passing of a way-worn forest wolf through the towns, byways, and cities. Yet he wanders on.

  While Hunwald is not the strongest, or toughest, or smartest of furres, he has learned the value of each and has taken care to attain a little more than average ability in all of them.
  
  His agility and wisdom are especially sharp due to his forester lifestyle. Quick reactions are a matter of life and death when fighting beasts or knowing a trap or bad idea when you see one. In the wild there is no one to help if you get in trouble, so Hunwald has gotten very good at avoiding it in the first place.
  
  All in all, he is merely a well rounded individual, competent in a wide variety of situations, if at the expense of being very good in just a few.
