• The defiant angel

  "isn't it funny? we should be on opposite sides. After all, are we not made by the same mother and reared by the same father? This holy battle is nothing but children's squabble."
  
  blue eyes shine brilliantly as they watch the world, in all it's glory. blue eyes watch as humans and monsters alike grow and learn, becoming more then they were made to be. This angel has abandoned their duties for more enlightening things. Born to be a caretaker and gaurdian for angels, they turned their back on the race when war broke out.
  The nature still shines through though, as they have taken to caring for children of all races, teaching them the wonders of the world and how lucky they are to be alive.

• A love between angels

  Metatron could remember the day that they had laid eyes on raguel, and how lovely she was as she taught Michael with tender and gentle hands, offering to take the pains of his new found interest in humans.
  So kind and tender were her words that Metatron often would begin sneaking away from their important duties to watch her on her cloud as she spoke softly and sang to the young Michael and Gabriel. They'd sit there for hours and hours, until our of fear of being seen they'd leave to preform their duties.
  Then one day Raguel wasn't there on her cloud. She had received word that the elemental angels were rebelling, and the weight of the news was heavy on her soul. As a being of pure love Raguel had never known anything outside of her kind words and songs, and to now be told she had to fight for a god that created her into a world where love was a dying commodity was confusing to her. She had so much of it in her heart that it hurt.
  It was then that the rebellious angel Metatron took it upon themselves to comfort her, offering her kind words when others would only offer her the harsh cold words of war. He'd spend his days with her, learning about what it meant to be the angel that oversaw the other angels. He learned that she was soft spoken, but would deliver swift punishment on those that defied or brought harm onto one of their own. She was brave, and kind hearted all wrapped up in one small tiny winged package.
  In the end it was their brother, Sandalphon, who requested the two to part. He explained that she would soon be sent to tend to the fallen angels and collect the souls of the elementals that had died so they wouldn't have a chance to be reborn.
  The idea terrified them to the point where they told Raguel. The news was not taken lightly, causing her to break out into tears at the news. She was ordered to do the one thing she could never do, take another life.
  It was at that time that the two decided to run away, and seek refuge with some of the few elementals that refused to fight. The dragons that protected them would keep the two lovers safe from harm and they could live together with the elementals in peace until the war was over.
  The day they set to leave for earth was the day that Metatron's heart was torn into two. The archangel Ariel had learned of their plan, having over heard it when Raguel went to Micheal to inform him of where she'd be.
  It was on that day that Metatron found her at the forest clearing they had agreed on. She was badly beaten, nearly dead. Her wings forever crippled and flightless. She could never return to the home she had loved so much, and was forced to live a life much the same that Gabriel had when his left wing was ripped off. She'd slowly waste away in a form that slowly grew more and more ugly with each day that past leaving her drowning in her tears.
  Still, Metatron stayed by her side, promising never to leave as her soul began to rot in it's frail excuse for an eternal body. She, unlike Gabriel, would not make the transition into being semi-mortal.
  She died in metatron's arms, screaming in agony as her immortal soul tore her failing body apart, begging them for eternal slumber.
  Before she died, Metatron stole from her a single lingering kiss and a feather from from her wings, a sign that she'd forever be with them and be the only angel in their heart.
