• Origins

  No matter the setting Luna is thrown in (aside from any that prohibit anything from the Fantasy genre), she was 'born' on a small island within its own dimension. Prior to any roleplay, she remained on that island for hundreds if not thousands of years. However, she isn't some supremely old being or anything like that. Her body in and of itself was only aged eight by the time she left the island and entered the Earthen Plane. The tricky bit about time in this sense was that the time on the island didn't exactly line up with that of Earth's. So, the eight years Luna existed on the island could have translated to any number of Earth years.
  
  The island was a mysterious place. It did not reside on Earth, or, in reality, in Earth's dimension at all. It was a plane all on its own. A simple, small island with nothing but a strange tree in the center, soft grass and a young girl was all that made up the dimension. That and the everlasting water that surrounded it. As clear-cut as it may seem, the island and its dimension also had another strange detail to it.
  
  There was no color.
  
  Everything on the island, including even the girl herself, Luna, was doused in a shade of gray, ranging from the lightest of light grays to the darkest of dark grays. Each object had its own, specific shade, giving way to the differentiation on the island. The water was a happy medium, the sand at the shore a nice light gray and the leaves on the palm tree even lighter still.
  
  And so Luna, on the island, lived a lonely life. She had no idea of who she was or even what she was. Time and time again as she grew older she dreamed of someone. This 'someone' was a boy around her age and something pricked the back of her mind, urging her to believe he was her brother. However, she had never met him. Around the age of six, Luna had found her first possession. It was a book.
  
  This book was not just a normal book, however, it was a telling of the Sun and the Moon, Luna and Sol in a fiction based in mythology. It was where she learned to read, to write. Oddly enough, she knew to speak the language despite not having anyone on the island for her to speak to. As she would read it, images of the boy she thought of appeared in her mind on a similar island living a similar life. Again, the silent voice told her that she was Luna and he was Sol, that they were siblings. So, Luna believed this third party and went on living her life, rereading the story, sounding out and spelling words to occupy herself.
  
  Like all good things, however, it had to end. The girl, throughout her short life, wanted more. She wanted more than only a few dozen square feet to roam, she wanted more to read, more to write with, more to do. It was not until what the voice deemed to be her eighth birthday that she got her chance.
  
  One day, she woke up on the shore and decided to look to the only other entity on the island above a foot tall: the tree. However, what was at the tree unsettled her. There, in the very place she wanted to look, was what looked like a man. But his height diminished that of the eight-year-old's. He stood nearly seven feet tall and looked down on her.
  
  Extending his hand, he offered Luna her way out. He offered her a new life, to a new home, a new place with anything to read and anyone to know. He called it something, a name she would come to know forever.
  
  He called it Earth.
