  Appearance: Phoem is a young sphinx with a springy, lithe leonine body covered in sandy golden fur. Her wings, which are tawny and barred with darker browns like a hawk's, are still a bit small to actually carry her in true flight. She keeps them tucked against her sides, and they are often not as well groomed as they could be. Her powerful, compact shoulders blend almost impossibly upwards into a human torso, her fur tapering off into olive skin. Her face is not as angular or graceful as might be expected of a sphinx; her cheeks are round and her alert dark brown eyes are framed by a superfluous amount of luxurious eyelashes. When she grins (which she does an obscene amount for one of her kind), she reveals an impressive set of perfectly white, perfectly lethal canines. A simple golden circlet is lodged firmly in her coarse black hair, and one earring adorns her left ear, the small green gem at its center sometimes kicking off a flash of light. Sometimes she also wears a set of three silver bangles around one front paw, just to adorn herself for her own amusement.
  
  Personality: Phoem, unlike most members of her species, is not tremendously cold, nor is she calculating. Though she is not above asking the occasional riddle, she rarely devours anyone for answering incorrectly. Sometimes she will chase and swat at those who do not meet her standards, but eating humans loses its luster after awhile. Phoem is much more fond of talking to people, wearing jewelry, and pouncing on her own tail than she is of being stern and demanding respect. She's more likely to be outspoken than enigmatic, and she'll forgo the family custom of asking just riddles to ask all sorts of other questions, a practice that perpetually confuses those that she encounters who are familiar with the ways of her kind. While impatience and a hot temper are some of the sphinx traits she upholds, she throws most others out the window.
