• Description

  Hailing from a race of tribal cat people, he's not very tall. He makes up for this by being extremely fast and resilient. Trained by living alone in the jungle, he is a great deal more fierce and independent than the average domesticated Neko boy.
  
  His human hair is all black while his feline features are covered in bright red fur. His only clothing is a pair of large leaves, a simple loin cloth, and a pair of leather gloves. These items constitute all of his earthly possessions.

• Biography

  In his native tongue, the name Ratchter means "one who displeases his mother." He hails from a matriarchal society where his younger twin sister, Prow, was given all of the higher privileges, partially due to her sex, and partially due to Ratchter's naturally violent temper. All his life he felt as though he was treated unfairly by his icy, stoic mother, and his sister's constant taunting didn't make matters any better. A childhood of this resulted in him showing initial hostility to anyone of the female persuasion.
  
  Most males of the tribe are sent off to find their own way in the world. Most of them go on to become students or partners of human beings. Such is Ratchters current life's mission. He is in constant search of a master (like most Neko seem to be in modern society) but he will not stick around long if he feels someone is unworthy. If someone were to try to stop his escape, his tribe is very warlike, so he will not feel bad about carving out their entrails, showing them to his victim, and then leaving.
  
  Yeah... a temper to be sure, but once you earn his friendship, you are more or less completely safe from his wrath. He'll be less homicidal and more just noisy.

• Homo Filidae Hypersomnia

  The following is a health condition Ratchter suffers from that he does not know about.
  
  Ratchter suffers from a condition that occasionally forces him to sleep for excessive lengths of time, ranging from 20 to 72 hours usually, though he has spent an entire week sleeping. Normally there are no noticeable negative effects from sleeping this long, but sometimes he will start to starve, dehydrate, or both. Medical experts say this is a symptom of homo-filidae hyperactivity, exhausting the body forcing it to shut down just to try and recover from it, though studies are still ongoing. There is, as yet, no known treatment for HFH, but not allowing the sleep to end naturally normally results in symptoms of sleep deprivation.
