• A Brief History

  Background:
  
  Born in 1800 to a wealthy family in England, Riacco was a prodigy and child genius. At a young age he became fascinated with anatomy and the human body, and devoted his life to studying all he could. He became an extremely skilled doctor, then a surgeon, but his thirst for knowledge could not be sated. Knowing that time was not on his side, Riacco turned to a darker side of medicine. He teamed up with infamous serial killer Enoch Leng, and together they unlocked the secret to prolonged life. With a special serum, Riacco was able to remain virtually ageless.
  
  Since then, his experiments grew crueler and darker, resorting to kidnapping and graverobbing to satisfy his curiosity. As time went on and technology advanced, it only opened more doors and opportunities for Riacco's twisted experiments. In time, he would become a world-reknown geneticist, performing the first successful cross-species animal hybrids. In secret, he also perfected creating human-animal chimeras. It was then Riacco met a young woman named Anadius. She became his first and most successful human-chimera experiment
  
  Then Everything Changed
  
  A series of curious events spirited the doctor to a land called Hetherev, where Riacco forgot everything of his personal life, his history, his past, and even his name. All he seemed to remember was his medical knowledge and other science-based facts. Also he now had wings. Despite losing all his memory, he knew he was once a doctor, so, stranded on a strange foreign land with no apparent escape, he set up an office and became the local doctor/healer/physician. He has saved many lives, and had found his purpose once again. It was a peaceful and happy life, and he worked side-by-side with Ana for a number of years. They grew close, practically inseparable and made a fantastic team.
  
  But in time Riacco regained his memories and the atrocities he had committed. Torn between the new peaceful and happy life and the crimes of his past, Riacco is looking for reconciliation and redemption, but his dark past keeps resurfacing in all the worst ways.

  Personality
  
  Riacco is cool, level-headed, and professional. He doesn't talk very much. Incredibly polite to the point of coming off as snobbish. Extraordinarily intelligent, he is well-versed in human physiology and anatomy. Very good at reading people. A gentleman at heart, if you can get past his ice-cold first impression. He's shamefully egotistical. Get him talking about himself and he'll find it difficult to keep from bragging about his talent.
  
  Even though he prefers to remain professional and composed, Riacco has a bad tendency to lose his temper. He becomes irate over small things, usually only going so far to scold or demean the offending item or person. However, in high-stress situation, Riacco "shuts down" and enters a state devoid of emotion and relying solely on logic and reason. It's a coping mechanism he developed after many, many years in the ER, dealing with life or death situations in which the smallest mistakes or hesitance result in disaster.

  Riacco has rock-steady hands and is extremely dexterous. He is in excellent physical shape, though he is a weak flyer (he's getting better, though) Riacco is also extremely good with knives. Don't get in a knife fight with him. For the love of god please don't. You will die.
  
  Riacco is a professional smooth-talker and great at reading people and intentions. He can spot a liar a mile away, being a fantastic liar himself.
  
  Though he has turned over a new leaf and is trying his best to do good and be a better person, Riacco has his moments of darkness. If forced to fight, he will not hesitate to kill if it means self-preservation. He has no qualms with hurting others to get what he needs. His psychopathic traits, though mild, do emerge at the worst times. He struggles to empathize with people. He has bouts of violence and anger. He can be extremely manipulative even without him noticing. He struggles with his dual nature, but has Ana to thank for keeping him on the straight and narrow.
