  • Scars: Covered in them from both self-inflicted and acquired through life; the most notable are the ones on his face, left chest and the word IMPAIRED branded on his right collarbone, T-H-E- carved into his right butt cheek

  • Personality: Rin is normally a cautious person who tends to become highly uncomfortable in social situations. His "other half", Tarakane is quite violent and hostile.

  • Facial piercings: Double snake bites; a set of rings on the inside and a set of studs out. A labret spike, a horse shoe smiley, studs in each nostril, small horse shoe in his septum, earl bar through his nasal bridge. Left brow has a corkscrew ring and two regular rings on the right and a bar. Wide gauged tongue bar.
  • Ear piercings: Ten rings up either outer shell of his ear, five hollow orange gauged rings starting at the base of his ear and going up the inner cartilage (the base is the largest and they diminish in gauge size as they go). Bar through the tip of the left one, various rings and horse shoes through the inner shell.

• Description

  Rin is half fox-demon and half-human. He is 7'1" tall as a result of mutation and only around 165 lbs on a good day. Being host to another soul in his body, his eating habits are poor and his body tends to become very thin and uncared for. His skin is off-white with a gray shadow where the black fur would be if he were in the form of a silver fox. His eyes are mismatched, the right is yellow with a cat's eye pupil while the left is blue is a normal circular pupil. His hair is almost always long and a silvery white color with Tuscan red tips. If he were to cut it, the ends would bleed red up for a few inches. As half demon, he has Fox ears instead of human ones; they are black with red tips. He also has a foxen tail; black with a white tip. Rin is also covered almost head to toe with scars.
  
  His notable scars are thus: The web-like scar on his stomach from Tarakane's sword, the slice going down his left eye as well as the three claw-marks running across his left shoulder and chest from his older half-brother Kashue, the three bullet holes across his chest from an angered tree-spirit while he was protecting an at-the-time girl friend, and the word IMPAIRED written on his right collar bone. His face also sports two scars coming off the upper right lip, three across the bridge of his nose and one hooked on the right cheek from various other fights. He also has a passion for piercings having 10 rings up each fox ear, 5 orange plugs in each as well plus various others. He has double snake bites in the form of two rings and two studs and a spike in his labret. He has an earl piercing through the bridge of his nose as well as coiled rings in each brow and one stud in either nostril. He also has bars going under and out of his collar bones; two on each side with the balls are the only visible things.
  
  Despite the scarring, Rin also has two tattoos; a Green Celtic Knot on his right shoulder and a red Biohazard on his right hip.

• Biography

  Rin is a twin and the son of a Japanese/Irish priestess and a Nine-tailed Fox Demon. He is the weaker of the two fraternal twins, his "older" sister Zeki being more adept to ninjitsu and use of their demonic powers. When Rin was younger, his parents were murdered by a band of higher-ranked demons, one of which was Tarakane, an old partner of his father's who was bent on revenge. When Rin and Zek set out on a mission of vengeance, Rin was too eager to fight and his ill-timed attack almost cost his sister's life. The Shadow Fiend Tarakane, a hell-demon who long ago decided to remain on Earth, ran Rin through with his blade of Shades at the same time Rin slit his throat. When the blade dissolved, it left a shard in Rin's gut.
  
  Over time, the shard assimilated into Rin's system, causing him to have physical mutations such as his height, eyes and the gray shadow that's crept over his white skin. However, the use of Shadows is now at his disposal as well as a sword similar to Tarakane's. Perhaps the worse side-effect of all is the presence of the Shadow Fiends in Rin's subconscious. His soul still clings to the shard's essence which keeps him ever-present in Rin's thought, whispering and prodding. His mind is fragile at this point and he does his best to avoid being with his loved ones for too long in case Tarakane's whisperings break him down enough to let the Fiend take control of the body. When this does happen, his eyes turn red with a ring of the original color still lingering in the iris. Tarakane is hell bent on ruining the fox's life by torturing and maiming those closest to him while he is locked in the subconscious unable to control a thing.
  
  Almost understandably, Rin's developed a bad habit of self-mutilation which results in many of his scars. However, he also has a lack of care when it comes to moving out of the way of things that might cut or wound him.
  
  As a result of his failed vengeance, Rin spends most of his time in his once-burned-out den which he has only restored his room and the general areas of the house. He has lived all of his life in the Forsaken Forest which is an unmappable place which almost holds its own dimension. The Forsaken is a refuge for misfits of the worlds and cannot be sought out by any but those who have been let in or were born there. It borders on many dimensions and more often then not people will find that they've stumbled into it without realizing.

  • "I will always have a soft spot for Rinku. I haven't RP'ed with him *sob* but it was a pleasure to draw him for RPR's first holiday exchange. Before the assignments were divided among the participants, I was afraid I might get a character that I couldn't really get into, but Rin inspired me immediately and was extremely obliging in speeding up the drawing process. Only the best characters can do that!"
