Tobias Hazelwood

Tobias comes from a long line of witches. At a young age, he met his familiars by chance after accidentally rescuing them from a magical animal trafficker (the call of one's familiar(s) can push one to drastic actions). He grew up in a community that had a long history of being deeply entwined in the mystical, learning the ins-and-outs of witchcraft and other magicks from his family. He inherited Potions & Pastries, a shop owned by his parents at the age of twenty and has been running it for nearly four years. It is equal parts a homey café and an alchemical shop. Considering his aptitude for both cooking and alchemy, it is practically his dream job.

His (moderately) peaceful life came to a screeching halt one day when he nearly got mugged on the way home from an ingredient run. Luckily, someone came to his rescue. That someone was Sonia. Maybe a knife-wielding, howling cat-person wasn't the best first impression, but it certainly scared off the mugger. Begrudgingly, Tobias had to drag the semi-injured werecat home for medical help, and that was the start of a very complicated, but close friendship between the two of them.
