Backstory

As a Dream Weaver, he was born with the ability to manifest dreams into reality, a power that should have made him a god among men, but his playful and carefree nature put him behind in all manner of studies and training. Now, his untrained abilities are painful to use and he lacks the critical guidance and understanding to develop them properly; the act of pulling dreams from his mind causing excruciating agony that leaves him gasping for breath and on the brink of collapse. His powers are still unpredictable and incomplete, often leading to things half-formed or disjointed. While he's trained it enough to create small items with relative ease, it could hardly be considered more than a parlor trick in most circles.

Xyale was never meant to leave his world of Loth'Viril, but after a volatile fight with a Void Walker, he was thrown through an interdimensional rift that spat him out in a completely different world. With no way home, life from then on became simple; Adapt or die.

Now stuck in this new world with no way of returning home, Xyale doesn't mind. He's seen the darker side of his people and their ways, and he's learned that home is just a place; a place that can be taken from you in an instant. So instead, he makes his own home wherever he lands, surviving by his wits, his charm, and his abilities. He doesn't care about his past much and doesn't seem keen to talk about it. He's convinced that it's better to keep moving forward than to look back. He's a survivor. He'll drink, joke, flirt, and charm his way through any situation, and when all else fails, he'll come out swinging.

Personality

Xyale is the living embodiment of chaos wrapped in a devil-may-care attitude. A scrappy, unapologetic thrill-seeker, he thrives on the edge of life’s messiest moments. His sharp tongue and blunt honesty make him the kind of person who says what everyone else is too afraid to, often with a colorful vocabulary that’d make a sailor blush. To Xyale, life is short, so why sugarcoat it? He doesn’t see the point in mincing words or pretending to be someone he’s not. Honesty, no matter how brutal, is his creed.

A lover of chaos in all its forms, Xyale finds joy in the unpredictable. Whether it’s a bar brawl, a heated argument, or watching a scandal unfold, he’s there with a front-row seat and a devilish grin and a bucket of popcorn. Toxic behavior doesn’t faze him; it entertains him. He’s quick to throw fuel on the fire of a spicy conversation, pushing buttons just to see the sparks fly. Xyale isn’t the person you turn to for calm advice, but if you’re looking for someone to escalate a situation or call it like it is, he’s your guy.

Shame doesn’t exist in Xyale’s vocabulary. He’s as uninhibited as they come, embracing his vices with open arms and zero regrets. He drinks like a fish, indulges in substances freely, and makes no effort to hide it. To him, pleasure is paramount, and he doesn’t believe in denying himself the fun life has to offer. He’s the kind of guy who lives for the moment, consequences be damned.

Despite his rough edges, Xyale’s unapologetic nature and devil-may-care attitude have a strange charm. His raw honesty and ability to laugh in the face of chaos make him surprisingly easy to get along with. He’s the life of the party, the instigator of wild nights, and the person who’ll stand by you in a fight; if only because he loves a good show. Xyale is the definition of unfiltered, unbothered, and unstoppable.

Dream Weaving: Xyale can manifest objects, people, or even environments by pulling them from his dreams. However, the more complex or large the creation, the more painful and draining it is for him. It's a limited ability that can be trained, but currently it's only used for small, temporary items like tools, knickknacks, food, etc. The larger the creation, the more likely it is fall apart or fail for form correctly.

Painful Manifestation: The process of pulling something from his mind into reality is physically painful, causing exhaustion, dizziness, and severe physical strain. Magical item creation always causes nausea. The more he uses his powers, the harder it becomes to recover, and the more he'll want to numb his pain with vices.

Dream Pool: Xyales mind is constantly filled with dreams, both vivid and fleeting, thoughts, desires, nightmares, and fantasies. These dreams don't just exist as abstract thought in his mind; they are like a vast intricate library of sensory experiences, images and emotions. They are stored in his subconscious, and when Xyale wants to bring something into reality, he pulls from this Dream Pool.

Focus: Xyale must concentrate deeply, visualizing the object or creation he wants to materialize. The clearer the vision, the easier it is for him to pull it out; but the more complex or large the manifestation, the harder it becomes to form.

Energy Drain: As Xyale pulls the dream out of his subconscious, his body channels his physical energy into manifesting it. This oftend leaves him weak and exhausted. The more energy required to shape the manifestation, the more drained he becomes.

Pain: The act of pulling a dream from his mind causes excruciating pain. It's as if his body is being torn apart, as though every nerve is being stretched and twisted. This pain is a deep internal burn and a sharp stabbing sensation that can incapacitate him if he pushes too far.
