• Story Summary

  Her main setting is the world of Faelaste.
  
  Although a long-lived immortal she has spent much of her sentient life so far in the astral outside of the bounds of time. There is no part of her mortal existence that has not had Xor influencing it, so now she depends heavily on him and the view of the world he has given her. At first she could not leave him because he was protecting her from the backlash of exile, even though that very exile was caused by his presence in her life. Now she remains for the sake of her children, but also because she is addicted to her husband's affection. Despite being as unhappy as she is about her situation in general, she can't fathom leaving him now and she has found purpose in being a mother. As far as she knows in her own mind, her love for Xor is 100% genuine, and she clings to anything that resembles happiness in the relationship.
  
  Astraea is fully aware Xor has many children from past encounters, and that even now he still fathers children to others outside of their marriage although he claims to not care for their well-being. Some of these encounters are to further business relations, a goal she is sometimes expected to assist with, but mostly they are because of his role as a deity heading his own cult religion based heavily around hedonism. His very nature means she doubts his abiding love for her as he claims, even though Xor goes out of his way quite often to prove his commitment to her as well as showing great dedication as a devoted father to their children.
  
  She is greatly confused as to why Xor adopted Azebet, an adult tigress, as his daughter. Azebet is not legally entitled to inherit from the Estate, and Astraea doesn't get along with her at all, yet Xor insists that the tigress be considered family regardless. This means free reign of the manor house, and more contact with and influence around Astraea's children than she'd prefer.
  
  Most recently Xor, as her husband Marcus I, has taken on a second wife, a lioness named Narda, as a way of extending his business reach in the world. Astraea is unhappy about this fact on its own, but even more difficult to deal with is that Narda's many sisters-in-law have also moved into the manor along with her as veritable concubines. The timing could not have been much worse, coinciding with the birth of her fourth child and second son to Marcus. In a desperate move she invited her only real friend Nessa to live with her in the manor as a companion and assistant. It's suddenly became very busy in her once-quiet home, and as Lady Astrid she is struggling to maintain her hold on the familiar.
