Pokémon
►Channelling
Jaydin was first opened to channelling through one of her own Ghost Pokémon that possessed her in order to get her to safety after she had been paralysed in fear. Now, Jaydin uses her channelling abilities to better understand upset and angry spirits, as well as timid and shy ones.
With certain people that ask, Jaydin has channelled family members and friends, allowing for people to get a sense of closure with those they cared for.
►Ethereal Plane
Because of her introduction to channelling and being able to commune with ghosts -- both Pokémon and human alike -- Jaydin exists on two planes. The material plane and the ethereal one. This tends to be difficult for Jaydin at times, especially since this means that she can touch ghosts, but that means they can also touch her. Jaydin typically uses this ability of hers in order to show Ghost Pokémon and human ghosts that she is their equal.
►Exorcism
If there are spirits that are far too troublesome, or far too removed from their own sense of sanity, Jaydin will do what she can to exorcise the spirits in question. However, there is the occasional ghost that will express to Jaydin that they simply do not know how to move on. Depending on the circumstances, Jaydin will assist the ghost come to peace with whatever they have going on so that they can move on.
Jaydin has turquoise spiritual beads to act as her medium for exorcising ghosts.
►Ghost Pokémon Communication
This one is also an interesting ability for Jaydin. After a while when her Haunter (at the time) possessed her, Jaydin realised that she could actually understand Ghost Pokémon. She was not really sure how, but when her Haunter explained to her his assumptions on why she had this ability, Jaydin soon became rather okay with it, and started to develop her skills further in order to be the best Ghost-Type trainer and medium she could be.
►Sensing
After a decade of having gone through classes and training to get her abilities in check, Jaydin picked up the ability to sense whenever ghosts are around -- she has become sensitive to their overall presence. This also applies to people and their auras; Jaydin is extremely sensitive to the auras that belong to people, because their emotions are sometimes just so much stronger -- especially when they are angry, upset, sad, or wishing to act out of malevolent intent.
►Spell Tags
There are some spell tags at Jaydin's disposal, and were things that she began using shortly after leaving Morty's school in order to fine tune her ghostly abilities. Spell tags can tap into the psyche of certain individuals, and also serve as protective charms for those interested.
Tags that can be used are:
- Calming Tag - When there are already spirits present that cannot simply be dispelled, the calming tag is placed in order to help the spirit in question put their anger and ill intent aside. When they are calmer, Jaydin generally goes to speak with them and see what she can work out.
- Protection Tag - A tag that prevents ghost interaction. These are typically put in certain corners of houses, buildings, and even in places like drawers and closets. There are some people that request these tags in order to carry around on their person.
- Revealing Tag - Sometimes, ghosts are just a little too hidden. While Jaydin can feel their presence, sometimes she cannot always see them. She uses this tag in order to get visuals. There are times that other people can see those revealed by this tag as well, but it has not always been the case.
