Zari's first journey beyond the walls and with a trusty journal, she has begun to sketch and document creatures and plants that are of interest to her and bare worthy of note. Her first day has seen information gathered on three types of flowers and one little dragon creature!

First up is the "Sweet Flower" or "Dolce Fiore"
It has a very sweet smell, appears trumpet flower like, and bears a sweet nectar that can be harvested and used as a sweetener for cooking. They seem favored by the Dritter Flittering.

Second found was the "Grinning to Death" or "Ghignando alla morte"
*Poisonous* was the first thing written afterwards. Animals seemed to avoid it as the flower was also carnivorous and each little stem bore a flower that hid a mouth full of sharp teeth. The largest flower was nearly human head sized with mouths big enough to take a hand. Be very wary when traveling near this flower. It emits a smell that seems to differ from who smells it, but it is always something the smeller would find delicious and enticed to follow said scent. The flower is darkly coloured, blending into whatever surrounds it and can be hard to spot.

Third found was the "Heart Flower" or "Fiore Cuore"
Rather boring and bland, it appeared to be a normal flower with a horrible taste but not poisonous. Deemed inedible but still pretty. The colours ranged in shades of red and pinks depending on age and health of the plant.

Fourth to be documented was the "Flittering Dragon" or "Dritter Flittering"
Small, brightly coloured dragon appearing creatures about the size of a hummingbird. Their scales were small and fine with an iridescent sheen to them. Eyes were large and lacked a definable pupil and held the same iridescent sheen as their body, slightly buggy. Snout was slender with a long, long tongue seen to be used to gather nectar from flowers. Petal like crests upon their head and tails to aid in camouflage, the petals seemed to mimic the hues of whatever flower the creature preferred and each seemed to have their own taste.

This post will be updated with further discoveries as they come
Flying back towards the city at the end of a day, the light fading, something caught the eye of the phoenix as she flew in her bird form, her eyesight far superior and the only reason she saw this creature.

"Morte Invisible" or "Unseen Death"

Oily slick skin of black that changed colours to blend into its surroundings, a large mane of leaves with leaf plates down its back. Jungle-cat like build with an extra set of front arms. Without closer inspection of a body, the confirmation of no eyes cannot be made, but Zari is pretty confident the beast hunts by scent, taste, and hearing but it does have markings on its head as if it bears a double set of eyes but no definable pupil.

Circling back, much to the consternation and worry of the scouts with her who were on the ground and unable to follow as she zipped off at a faster speed than she'd been going, she followed the creature. She watched it as it hunted a deer-like creature, bringing it down with an ambush strategy and a tail that housed a large stinger within a fur-like tuft on the tip of its long tail and a long tongue that appeared barbed with... fingers?

Not a beast the bird would want to meet after dark, or even in full light, it was made to kill. With a closer vantage, Zari concluded the beast was about 7ft tall at the shoulder and probably 21 - 25ft from nose to tail tip. With this being the first and only creature spotted, it is unknown if this is a cub, a young-adult, or a mature adult...
