General Information

  • greystonelocation.png Time and Location
    The years is 1177.

Greystone Tavern is located between Saffingwell and Modesty in Desdemond County as indicated on the map in red. Saffingwell is two days away by foot, or roughly 50 miles. To the south, Modesty is two and a half days by foot.

    Currency
At the start of his reign, King Callistin issued new coins each cast in his image.

Large sums of money can be carried through paper form only if stamped by an official Noble House wax seal, transported by an appointed messenger from one Greater or Lesser House to the other. Such notes would be useless in the paws of a common furre, and would probably attract unwanted attention. Other forms of gold, silver, and copper are accepted regularly. The barter system is also employed in the area. The lowest paid labourers can expect to earn two to three suns in a month.

Copper Coin: A small, round copper coin which can be new or old, is often bent or warped, and is almost always engraved with a royal insignia. Some of these coins may have holes drilled through them, to be kept on a string by the poor.

Silver Coin: The silver coin is a medium-sized coin, is solid and can be tarnished at times. Engraved with a royal insignia, one side may or may not also be engraved with a Vinca sigil as some are used as protection charms.

Gold Coin: Gold coins are the highest form of currency. They're polished, carry weight, and are bigger than both the copper coin and silver coin. All gold coins bear a royal insignia.

Every ten coppers is equal one silver coin
Every ten silvers is equal one gold coin.
    1 gold coin = 10 silvers = 100 copper.

    Other Information
    Religion
Like the deities in Ancient Rome and Greek culture, The Primes are openly worshiped by most furres in Kasuria at present and are largely recognized to be real beings.

    Suggested means of traveling..
    By footpaw: The most common.

By Wings: Faster than by foot, though physically draining. With less speed in the air, a furre would have to land at least twice as often as a scarhawk.

Ostrixes: One can gather perspective by basing distance and speed on a horse, considered to be the equivalent of an ostrix. Most families have atleast one ostrix.

Scarhawk/Raptor: These giant birds aren't exactly user friendly and can only be ridden by furres. Less common than Ostrix, they're expensive and only readily available to those of higher class. Quick and agile in the air, they're the quickest means of travel other than boat or skyship. They can carry only two passengers if one is small, such as a child.

True Dragons: Indigenous to Drakoria, they're seldom found in Kasuria though may have Furre riders. Slower than Scarhawks, they can carry only two passengers at once and are dangerous beasts on the ground.

Cart & Coach: Pulled by Ostrix, a cart is used mainly for carrying freight, while a Coach is used for well-to-do passengers.

Skyships: Created from the saliva of the bugge larvae, they're a rare sight to see. Some may or may not be pulled by Raptors.
  • Emits and NPCs

Greystone has been coded to be as interactive as possible. There are various emits and NPCs which are fully interactive, please bump into any of the various NPCs in the dream to receive commands.

If you receive an emit which begins with (!) is a prompt for an action which needs to be taken, generally an F3, though it could be a verbal code.
