Hello all! You may have noticed that myself and Leader have been relatively quiet these past few months. Due to starting my new job, I've had a lot of commitment to work hours and Leader has been equally busy with life events. However! With a tentative opening around August, we will be proud to be bringing you not only an entire Outlands update, but a brand new feral sister dream!
Outlands is getting a fresh coat of patches and we are ridding ourselves of the long overused water/territory divide format. Instead trying to focus on the seamless merging of biomes as well as decreasing the size of the overall map. This will provide you with a more compact experience, but vaster den space and far more room for future updates, easter eggs and cool secrets.
While we continue to develop these new dreams, we ask for your continued patience, but you can rest assured that updates will be flowing through here!
Where we currently are:
In regards to the new updated Outlands dream, we are still in the map development phase. We would like to extend a formal request for suggestions from all of our patrons! There will be a Suggestion box opening under the 'Support' tab on our discord. - We can't promise all ideas will be implemented, but we will be doing our best to keep everyone happy!
What's changing?
The biggest changes so far aside from the new map development, is a slight update to the patches. There's nothing 'brand new' and some you may have seen elsewhere before but it will definitely be an improvement from just the free patches we've used for so many years. We have Leader to thank entirely for letting us use them!
We will also be decreasing the amount of claimable dens and land. Entire biomes can now no longer be claimed, instead dens will have specific territories that will be specified on the bitmap image on the website, which will come in with the new map. The rules will not be changing in any regard to land ownership, challenging and den claiming.
What we'd like from you:
If you would like to help shape the new map, please use the suggestion box! We are primarily looking for ideas of what to do with otherwise empty spaces, rather than just filling them with grass and rocks with the occasional pool. Perhaps you liked the old territory divide system of water and would like to keep it or include something more subtle. We'd like to hear it!
