While there are varying social norms among the different provinces, there are staples to the species as a whole.

    Greetings
When one is greeted by friends or family, it is common to cheek touch, to leave ones' scent upon another in an affectionate manner, something fleeting. Another familiar greeting could be the lacing of tails at the end.
Nobility and up will greet one another with a low bow, forearm over chest accompanied by the formal title. Heads bow and eyes close with this gesture.
Military, warriors and hunters, will grasp the forearm of one another firmly, keeping eye contact.
Other physical greetings are simply head bows or a forearm to the chest, no bow.

    Sex and Sexuality
Polygamy is a common practice among the nobility.
Males will typically have more than one mate, though women in high positions of power have been know to take more than one themselves, though they are discreet in the matter.
Female slaves can be gifted or offered as concubines to emperors or high lords, as a way to show their allegiance or buy themselves a piece of their power. Empresses and high ladies are less likely to be bought in such regards, but that doesn't stop those from offering slaves anyway. In recent times though, there is a want for exotic slaves off island, for both men and women.
Homosexuality is deemed, overall, inappropriate. Not for the act itself, per say, but merely because during and after the plague there is a press for procreation.

The Pantharies are a sorcerer race, meaning they are born with the innate ability to use and learn many different kinds of magic. All Pantharies can use celestial magic, or astromancy, but they are not limited to just this. Here are some of the examples of magic they can use.

    Astromancy
It is a form of arcane magic that pertains to the cosmos. It is the magic that all Pantharies are born with. Characteristics of spells are blue, silver, purple, white energies being manipulated. The user's eyes and markings (if any) will glow. It usually comes in the forms of divination and healing, but can be used as offensive and defensive magic as well, such as star bolts or novas, maybe even shields. Note: Healing done with this draws on the user's life force and if healing grievous wounds would require a rest afterwards.

    Elemental Magic
Another very common form of magic among the Pantharies is elemental manipulation and conjuration. Elements that can be conjured are fire, shadow, and air, where as all the elements can be manipulated, but only those three can be conjured by the user. Typically, a pantharies will only be versed in one or two of these as mastered, but it isn't uncommon for one to learn all that they can. Being immortal offers the ability to keep learning. Elements recognized by pantharies are fire, water, earth, air, shadow, light, and nature. Others would be extensions of those, as those are the sources.

    Blood Magic
Many use blood in rituals to the sun or moon, painting their altars or even themselves in the crimson liquid. It is the belief that blood and bones can give strength to the user. Other uses can be used to cleanse the blood of impurities. This is not a manipulation of the blood, no pantharies can harness that ability and if they could, it would be considered very dark and taboo.

    Necromancy
Forbidden and dark magic in all the provinces, publicly. The belief that raising and manipulating the dead leaves the soul in limbo and it gains no relief from the tortures of the waking world.

    Other
There are various other forms of magic found within their societies they are just small or common things. Most pantharies practice a form of alchemy in their everyday lives or simple healings. Crystals are used frequently, as are herbs. The premise follows that of most pagan or witch like beliefs. They always act with magic, even if it is a simple.

    ☀The Sun☀
The sun is revered in a way much like other mythologies and cultures. Robust, masculine, sometimes oppressive, heated, and life giving. Often referred to as "Father Sun." The sun is the reason that the plants grow, gracing them with His light and warmth, being kind on not making it too cold or too hot to where things would die. Symbols are fires, hammers, and gold. Offerings made are grains and meat.

    ☽The Moon☾
Again, similar to others reverence of the moon. Feminine, refined, elegant, strong, cooling, mysterious. Referred to as "Mother Moon." The moon is not the complete opposite of the sun. She will take his light and bask those in a calmer, more serene glow. She has the Father's strength, but hers is much like a mother's, taking it and having it be soft and gentle, encouraging. Mother Moon is known for keeping the raging oceans outside at bay from ripping the island apart. Her symbols are water, silver, and a mirror. Offerings made are fish and flowers.

    ☆The Stars☆
The ever watching creators, unseen during the day, letting their presence be known at night, lighting the path and guiding them through the dark. The stars are the reason they are. The stars are referred to as "Ouer," a non-gender word for parent, as the stars have never depicted themselves as one gender or the other, a very neutral figure. They are life. Their symbols are air streams, iron, and eyes. Offerings made are small magic scrolls, arrow heads, and eyes. They make these offerings in hope of a parent's protection. Ouers can be called upon specifically by name by the names of the constellations. Blessings usually manifest in attributes or abilities that would relate to the constellations.

    ♔The Divinity♔
While all of the noble and royal class are viewed in a lofty respect, the Divinity, their leader, is prime to them. A deity who walks the mortal plane. A deity in the form of Pantharies. A lesser god compared to the celestial bodies, but a deity all the same. While earthly, this is a person trained from the time they are born to becoming a god. The Divinity is typically a male, having only one female take the throne. Their symbol is nature and earth because of the plane they walk on. Offerings made are worldly items, such as cloth, food, drink, people. So many offerings are made to the Divinity as they are the vessel of the celestials. Their word is what ultimately guides them. The Divinity can die before ascension or near the end of their reign, due to a better divinity to come along and allow the passing of the crown. If the divine throne does not pass to the next in line, famine, death, illness can wreak havoc upon the island. There must always be a change of hands. If the Divinity will not relinquish their power, it is up to the heir divine in line to relieve them of their duty.

    ☯The Clergy☯
The theological scholars of the Pantharies. They man the various temples scattered over the lands and in the mountains. The clergy can be of any rank and go forth to their calling, being the only caste in society who are equal with one another despite the colorings of another. They work to educate and be the relief in strife to their people. They are confidants and confessors. They are wise, strong, and seen as those who can speak with the gods. They are steadfast and unwavering. Most clergy do not father or mother children, unless the gods call upon them to take the path of parenthood. Typically, they serve their gods and their people, little to their own desires.

    Festival of the Ouers
A spring time festival filled with much light and hope for the year to come. It is a time of reverence and celebration of the stars, those that bore them to the world. During the celebrations held all over Tharia, Xavios, and less commonly outside those parts, vary in their traditions and rituals, but significantly all carry the same vibrant energy and devotion to their Ouers. This spring time festival is one of rebirth, renewal, and to signify a new year among Pantharies culture.

    When
Begins the first new moon after the Spring Equinox.

The festival lasts a span of four days. In those days, special rituals and services are observed and special holiday food is eaten.

    • Day one of the holiday is that of observance, offering, and declaration of fealty to the Ouers. Upon this day, it is common that offerings of fruit, wine, silver, cool toned gems, and herbs are placed upon the daises of the Pantharies' capital cities. A display of Astromancy is put on, both to tell a story and to entertain the masses.
    • Day two is a day of blessings. In recent Tharian tradition, this also now includes a blessing to the land and prayer of mending. Pregnant women seek blessings for their unborn at the daises of offering, the clergy there to lay their hands upon their bellies and hope to offer the children a blessing from the stars. Many different constellations are honored this day, allowing those to see that the Ouers are more than just one singular entity, but many that make up their beauty and power, much like the pantharies themselves.
    • Day three is a feast day! Pantharies come together as a people and share food with those who may have none on the feast day. Together, they drink, eat, and be merry with one another. Upon the streets, there are more acts of the arcane, fireworks, and various other displays. A free market is open.
    • Day four is filled with the closing ceremonies and rituals of reflection. Upon the offering daises, incense and candles are lit as the clergy create a faux aurora within the sky, commemorating the very force that birthed the pantharies eons ago.

    Feast of the Sun
A very traditional summer solstice sort of holiday. It is all about the honoring of Father Sun, fire, and the gifts of Summer. Fire dancing and sparring is are common place here, relishing in the masculine essence. Arena fighting and hand-to-hand combat are practiced, often leading to a tournament, the victor is crowned "Lord of Flames," carrying that title to the next year. Fire and gold are common themes.

    When
Begins June 18th, the peak being the 21st (summer solstice), and the end is June 23rd.
