Sub-Species

  • 2kjJmuj.png
Pantharies can find themselves blessed specifically by their deities, this being in the form of special abilities or traits. For the Moon and Sun, these tend to be more along the lines of abilities and skills with magic, strength, or future sight, however marks upon them in the shape of these celestial bodies can be seen as a birthmark.

The Ouers blessing is a bit different, these are physical manifestations. This often categorizes as the traits of any known or documented animal/creature constellations. Commonly, these blessings are obvious with different wings, such as feathered or insect-like. Other traits might not be so obvious, say if one were blessed by the Pisces, they would likely gain gills upon their rib cage.

All blessings must be discussed and approved before designing. Please do not hesitate to be creative.

This sub-species was bred and designed for slavery.

Cultivated with the intention of warfare, Hellions were bred with a combination of different large cats and even their more distant relatives of manticore. Because of this, they are physically stronger and could easily overpower a traditional pantharies. Given this brute strength, they are weak and susceptible to magic, not being able - or very rarely able - to produce magic on their own.

As the need for war diminished, as did the purpose of the Hellion. Now are they used as guards, mercenaries, pleasure slaves, and gladiators. Hellions who participated in quelling the rebellion were given the opportunity for freedom, though they were not allowed to stay within Tharia, due to the fear of another, more dangerous, uprising. They are found in slave markets around the world.

There is a single tribe of free Hellions within the province of Umbrem. They are treated more as a myth and urban legend, spoken only about in tales around a campfire or to scare children into behaving. What is more frightening than an unaltered and free minded Hellion? Little else comes to mind.

    Horns
More demonic in appearance, growing from the front of the skull. Not known to curl against the skull, but sweep back. Never wraps around the ears.

    Tails
Males have more of a leopard-like quality, long and fuller. Females are born with a poisonous stinger, their tails docked at birth, in fear of the stinger growing back, often looks like a lynx tail due to the docking.

    Feets
Standard feline, save for the almost raptor-like talon upon their innermost toes.

    Stature
    Male - Mesomorphic - 6 to 7 ft
    Female - Endomorphic - 5 to 6 ft

    Wings
    Common - Docked at birth

    Markings
Predominantly rosettes upon the body with stripes on arms and legs.

    Strength
Above the average Pantharies. Can physically overpower most of their standard counterparts.

    Weakness
Hellions are weak to magic, where the standard pantharies wield great sorcery powers. Pantharies have used magical methods to keep Hellions in their place.

  • Horns
Same style of ram horns, however, females typically have smaller horns. Males can have regular sized or smaller horns.

    Eyes
Black sclera has a 50/50 chance of transferring to those whose other parent has white or other character sclera. 100% if the other parent has black sclera.

    Cheeks
    Scent glands are retained.

    Tails
The stinger has the ability to pass on, though it is rare. When it does, the venom is much weaker, only paralyzing a body part where it has struck. Females with the stinger, however, will have a more potent venom, but it will not be fatal.
  • Feet
If the other parent has regular pawed feet, it would be safe to assume that the offspring would have them as well. However, if the other parent has hooves, then the offspring would as well.

    Reproduction
Females will go into a similar heat, but far more often than a purebred would. Their scent is strong to male pantharies and half breeds. All half-breeds are sterile, even though they have a cycle. Males still have a rut, though shorter and less aggressive. Male reproductive parts are determined by the player.

    Coloring
Heavily varied, due to mixed blood. Will change greatly depending on that species they are cross with.
