Once, the O'Connor Manor was a thing of beauty. With four full stories (three above ground, one below), over fifty rooms, immaculate gardens and more, it had been a welcome refuge for many a wayward traveler through the valley. Now, instead of beauty there is decay. Instead of grandeur, there is dilapidation. Its windows have been boarded up to prevent vandals from entering and causing more damage, but this does little to deter anyone who is determined to take a peek at the inside.

Due to the climbing English ivy, the presence of moss and mold, it's difficult to see the beauty with which the Manor once shown. The great, elegant windows had been broken or boarded up, the doors hang off of their hinges. The poor structure seems to be having a difficult time holding its own roof up, and yet... And yet, there is the distinct sense that at one time, this building had been the pride and joy of its owner. That maybe one day, with a little paint and a lot of elbow grease, the Manor could shine once again. That its halls could ring with laughter, its kitchen fill with the scents of wonderful foods cooking, that its eaves could shelter the heart-weary from both the rain and their trying lives. But for now, its darkened windows stare out into the village like empty eyes, longing for the touch of some caring soul to bring warmth back into their loving gazes.
