On the topic of region building like I posted up in our shenanigans chat, so far Gab and I haven't really decided on much besides that it's gonna have a rather tropical vibe, and with a suggestion from a good friend of mine, he suggested that it should be based around the Amazon, or parts of South America. At the moment, I'm designing a few potential maps, but what I really want to discuss is what kind of Pokemon could be available in this region. Tropicana is nothing more than a placeholder name at the moment, so that's up for debate as well.

As far as Pokemon go, I think Fire-, Water-, Grass-, Poison-, Flying-, Bug-, and Rock-types should be among the most common, with many of them being based on reptiles, amphibians, and various arthropods. Pokemon that can learn Sunny Day, have access to abilities like Chlorophyll or Solar Power would also be great choices for the region. I believe directly basing the region on Brazil would also be a fun choice, you've got plenty of history and the geography is varied enough for a unique landscape, and then culture has a lot of possibilities as far as the people go. Cities like Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo would make for interesting choices, the former especially considering it just recently hosted the Summer Olympics.

Cities and towns aside, we've got plenty of areas to throw into it as far as exploration goes, places based on the Amazon and other important landmarks of the country. If we want to explore the continent further, we could also draw inspirations from Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, and parts of Central America. We could possibly even use Mesoamerican landmarks to give the region more to explore, places like Maccu Pichu would make for a unique and fun place to explore.

I'm open to all kinds of ideas, hit me with whatever ya got.
