Forums » Av Kraahkan's Dinner » Sucre n' Guertena

*Sucre sat at a table, full of energy. supposedly, and reportedly by Av, two newcomers to the diner were going to arrive soon. one who was a newer Denizen, and one who might have been around a little longer than that*
*Guertena is a large rose in the spot across from her, and is not moving... though 'he' could if he wanted. he just knows that if there is going to be some newcomers, that he better be there to give people a secondary impression, other than Sucre... Also, he himself enjoyed talking with newcomers as well...*

-A short while later, a new being entered the diner. Most likely the new Denizen that word had gotten around about. As he stepped in, he folded his long dark wings behind him and regarded his surroundings-
-Part of him loved places like this and faint hazy wisps of memories of kinship in other establishments like this pass through his mind...another part of him, really couldn't care less. Still the reason he had even decided to come in the first place....was that he was still curious about the other denizens. They were so varied...and he figured if he was counted among them now, it was best to learn all he could. After all that's why he had contacted one other denizen he had heard whispers of to join him here. Like himself the reformation had heard that this particular denizen was a far more....involved one, and he was curious to see what that meant-

-The other denizen in question arrived just shortly after the reformation did. A humanoid shaped robotic figure, that looked like it had seen better days. Several of it's parts looked replaced or cobbled together, and in several areas wires appeared to be showing...the Android's most intriguing aspect though had to be it's eyes. They seemed to give the impression of cunning and a vast intelligence, but they also seemed to whisper of a dark ruthlessness and hunger, with how his gaze seemed to fall upon some of the other patrons at the establishment. Viewing them more as tools and instruments than the beings they really were-
"Greetings, welcome to"
*Av, a being you recognize, gets cut off in his greeting by an excited sound*
"theyre here!" *someone ?familiar? cartwheels out of their seat, and ends up standing right in front of you, leaning forward some as they talk... they... they are quite tall, like you, thin, like you, and their clothing is... minimal. also, like you. the only thing on their chest is two X's of black duct-tape* "Nice ta' meet Cha'!" *they giggle some after saying that*
*a much more calm voice can be heard back from the booth that she came from* "please don't let Sucre scare you off. She told me that she would NOT be doing exactly that, even when I told her I knew thats what she'd do."
-You cock an ashen eyebrow at the...female-
"Evening, are you perchance another of the denizens? I have not met many of our kind so far..." -a bit of recollection sparked in your mind. One of Sucre being mentioned by one of the other denizens at the session planning meeting you had been a part of....the other was...hazier...older...maybe not even your own-
"Your name is Sucre? I met your sister, she mentioned your were a fantastic dancer"
-One of the salt shapers nearby seemed to contort and reshape itself a bit as you recalled the other denizen you had spoken with. Slowly bending into a shape that vaguely looked like Sucre's sister-

-The Robotic denizen that had arrived behind you chose not to say much to the others but calmly took a seat at one of the booths. Because of his more radical ideas on how a denizen should act...other denizens weren't always too found of him and he wasn't sure how these two would react to his presence....and now was not the time for fighting...not yet-
*Av quietly says,* "please no distortive powers in the main room. we have back rooms for that sort of thing."
*Sucre seems delighted* "You met Adelaide? Thats terrific!"
*the flower says,* "Yes, we are Denizens like you two. Do the two of you feel like you have found what kinds of players or lands or titles you favor?"
*Sucre chips in, saying,* "I'm a bit of a punishment Denizen myself. All the rotten little cavities who use all means to their own end, and who would crush any in their way who'd ever try to stop them or help them like sugar cubes? I go for them... oh, and I guess there's also just when someone was supposed to absolutely NOT be a player? I handle that to. But that doesn't mean I don't try. I do give Players a chance." *Sucre has just started rambling on about her taste in players*
"my apologies...the warping is not intentional, it happens as I think sometimes"

-You take a moment to finally look over the flower not that it had spoken-
"ah...I've heard of you. One of the other denizen's compared the two of us once, it's a pleasure to finally meet you Guertena"
-You seem to regard his question for a moment before finally speaking- "I'm still figuring that out...however I think I'm best meant for larger sessions and players that lack motivation, to act as a force to show them how much their sloth can hurt their companions. I'm still unsure of that yet though...all I know is that I feel very closely connected to the lands, all lands"

-The other denizen seems to have a much more precise answer...as he slowly ate a piece of silverware-
"I'm also a punishment in a way. I'm given to player that seem to not appreciate life outside of their own and would sacrifice others for their own gains. I teach a strong lesson about the kind of results a way of life like that can lead to....in my own way, that not everyone seems to agree with"
*Av nods, accepting this* "just remember the back room if you feel like you've got to do some deep thinking."
*the flower remarks to the machine,* "its a lesson you yourself understand, right? It can be hard to teach something one doesn't understand themselves."
"and, it is nice to meet you as well. I to find... difficulty with Players who would go stagnant."
*Sucre says,* "come on, lets all sit down an eat something together."
*Another Av comes by, a tray in hand with a covering over top it, and presents it to the machine* *he removes the covering, and the empty metal tray is left there for them to eat*
-You and the robotic man both join the other two at their table. The robotic denizen eats the tray slowly before responding to the flower-
"Understanding doesn't always mean the same as embracing, sometimes a player needs to be shown the "wrong" thing to do before they can understand what is meant to be "right" ideals are more....a fluid grey area though"

-You glance over at the robotic man-
"I know I invited you but I was never exactly given an exact name for you, what should we call you?"

"My project title is 1378-READ-MD, However for ease of conversation, call me RED"

(-Side note 1378-READ-MD, stands for his serial number and "Robotic Engineering And Development - Made Denizen")
*The flower says,* "its nice to meet you Red. You might like The Protector. And might I ask what your name is?"
*Sucre is also eating, a large jaw-breaker crunching in her mouth, and a smile on her face*
"Oh, my apologies how rude of me...I'm know as the reformation. Sorry...my thoughts aren't always straight...my minds are still in the melding process...but getting there."
"On that actually I'm curious...how did you all become Denizens? Was it like myself...or were you just always what you are? Wheres the beginning to this story all about ends?"
*Sucre says,* "Me n' artsy here are 'parallels'. There existed some Person or some thing, or some Player who was a bit like us, and we happen to also exist as a totally seperate being. No connections through doomed timelines or anything. Hence, 'parallel'."
*'artsy', says* "that is about how we came to be... We did not know much of our past when we had our first sessions... But we had impressions, and emotions... And confused thoughts. Much like you right now... The Twins are a famous pair of parallels if you wished to meet them."
-RED seems to nod and speeks up- "I too got a parallel...big hulking softie..well usually, he's a softie at heart but his head can get kinda twisted around by players. Him'n I are doin a session right now"

-The reformation appears to consider this-
"I wonder if I have a parallel...or..if I am one? This seems...a tad confusing given my nature"
*Sucre's face lights up* "OMG YOUR A PARALLEL TO ANOTHER DENIZEN? YOU MUST BE SO PERFECT TOGETHER! TELL ME MORE ABOUT THEM!"
*speaking to you, the flower says,* "well, if you know for certain that you were created in some way, then your not a parallel. Parallels are Denizens that come to be, while 'naturals' come to be Denizens. It's a subtle difference, and one that might not even be important"
-Red cocks an eyebrow at the other denizens enthusiasm-
"well...we were made to parallel each other...but you wouldn't know it to look at us, in most ways we are opposite. He's more player focused in his quests while I am more land focused....he looks the part of the newer model....while I'm a pile of scrap....he prefers lots of small but important choices that lead up to something...while I prefer my choice to be finite right at the end....He's big....I'm comparatively small. The list goes on...you could almost call us brothers in a way...but I'm not entirely sure thats the right word to fit"

-The reformation nods to teh flowers words- "if you wouldn't mind Guertena I'd like your opinion on my first land quest that I am currently involved in"
"Go ahead and tell. I'm listening."
*tilting her head towards red, sucre says,* "aw your not a scrap. Your just scrappy! Hehe, and no real relational terms ever seem to fit. I've got a sister and were not sisters."
-You describe the quest you had come up with to the flower- (don't feel like typing all of the long details of it out again since we both know it)

-Red nods-
"So the kids mentioned" -he grabs a nearby drink and takes a swig- "my most recent quest is a dozy, but I figure I'll need it with the piece a work player I got this time around"
*the rose laughs a little* "hehe. reminds me of something I tried once with a Page of Light. I covered the quest beds of the other players in hostile shadows. They were the only ones who stood any real chance of purging them... well... aside from the knight of hope, who was willing and able to directly force his way on through the shadows, dieing on his bed because of their presence."

*Sucre asks,* "gots lots more to tell about it then? And whats your kid like? they a jerk?"
"Clever, maybe I'll implement something similar with his own quest bed...id made his own land so unimportant I hadn't given it much thought"

-RED seemed to smile ever so slightly- "outwardly from what I can tell, yes, but it's hard to get a good read on the kid from the little I have seen"
"well don't be backing out of what you've already done and hadn't done. Its important to develop a confidence in your planning, and to not change things part-way... unless changing part way is a part of the plan."

*shrugging back, her hair flicking her face, Sucre says,* "Maybe you could find them somewhere in here. everyone who's able to be no one ends up in this nowhere at some point... Little sucker won't remember a thing, but you'll know. this is a nice pre-game stop sometimes, though it shouldn't be relied upon all the time."
"None of them have entered yet so I think one minor change won't be too bad. Maybe I'll move their bed to the battlefield to give them more of an excuse to visit it. See if I can alter one of the black kings knights into guarding it"

"It's an idea, but in this quest...id like to leave a bit of each of us a mystery to each other. I think it'll add to the final choice"
