... the reason tea groups have so few threads in them... Is actually because everyone is sitting back and drinking their tea, and politely not talking!

😲

(A joke.)

But anyway, as for reasons, why do you guys, girls, and others, drink tea? Health? Taste? You wanted to try something new? Adventure? Poise? So many reasons!?!?

Tea groups are a tricky sort because tea-drinkers fall into two distinct categories, so it's hard to mesh groups. We'll see how this one goes.

Taste, interest, and it's my job. I enjoy exploring terroirs and seeing new countries experiment with growing tea. Seeing what their unique soil and production method does for the taste. I enjoy the calm that comes with sitting down for a tea session, or just the added little enjoyment having a gaiwan beside me has. Part of it's a weird collection mentality for tea and for teaware. But also because all of that culminated in working in the tea industry. So like it or not, I'm constantly tasting tea.
Oh, I didn't realize you were the founder. 😂 Whoops! I really liked your Living Library thread before. :)))

I personally love the flavors of various kinds of tea, but the sipping ritual and actually making something small just for me are probably a very big part of my enjoyment of it as well. I also have the collection mentality, as you say. >.> I definitely am a little drawn to... Teacups... Fiery kilns.... Tea sets.... Shiny kettles aaaaaaah! :D I love teaware. Illustrated tea/kitchen stuff has always been soothing to me, and of I can find a teacup that's like one from a book it makes it even better. Like a constant loop of delightful tea sets. :D

Also, gaiwan. Tea-stuff-names are so cool.
Hah, yeah... I kinda threw the group up on a whim, I was surprised when people joined.

The ritual's a really important part of it for a lot of people. It's ingrained in most cultures. And: YUP. I'm a sucker for an interesting piece of teaware.

Gaiwans are also just really useful brewing vessels.
The reason I really like drinking tea is that tea has so many different tastes and wide variety of flavors i like to drink tea when im studying or in the morning when i am really tired and need something to kick energy into me like matcha tea or green tea or any kind of black tea when im sick my mom makes this herby really good tea for me so i also use tea as for to get better so alittle of everything im pretty much kinda tea obsessed as we had like 35 different kinds of teas and dried flowers or other dried leaves for in tea included but wow I didn’t know people could really work in tea industries i might try that
I also enjoy tea both medicinally and recreationally.
^_^

Does anyone know of a good tea to drink with dessert or soup, that also keeps colds and such at bay? Like a strengthening tea that tastes delicious... XD
omg a year has passed by now already! that is so quick but i would say if i remember the tea name correctly it was jasmine tea it has an gentle taste that wouldnt disrupt the taste of the soup but i have no idea if it would keep colds at bay, the tea i drink when im sick most time is mint, lemon and honey or sometimes also mint, lemon, ginger and honey.
now that i look better you had also asked for an strenghtening tea im sorry but i do not know of an tea that would do that
