Castle Triune rests atop a hill in the north end of the Duela, the main city of the Oraclos Region. It overlooks the goings-on of the citizens below it, like a great eagle searching for misdoings. This structure is a relic from the founding of the kingdom but refuses to let nature reclaim it. Even now its stark white marble glimmers in the sun, blessed by the gods.
Today, it watches a crowd form at its south gate, under the hot, June sun. They were the ones from outside the region, here to register for the League Challenge. The castle guards tried to usher them into a single file line, but they were rowdy, especially the ones from Unova who were yelling at them for their poor planning.
This was the first year that Oraclos had opened up their challenge to those outside the region. King Priam thought it would be a good idea to begin to reach out to other regions, to establish their place in the world and forge relationships. Should they continue to stay stuck in the past, they would be outpaced by the rest of the world and eventually be forgotten, swept under the rug and eventually overtaken entirely.
With all the ruckus, though, the line wasn't moving forward at. all.
