Sophia picked up her pace, though nearly tripping a time or two in the process, when the tall ruins and small huts came into view. "There are people here, but the air still smells old. But look - at least there are crops growing still." She smiled brightly as she looked back towards the setting sun, then back north. "I wonder where we can find him. It's not a very big place."
Without asking she came up next to him and slipped his hand into her own. "People won't see us as a threat if you are escorting a little girl, right? Maybe you could smile a little and not look so intense?" She giggled, and tried her hand at skipping, only she didn't make it very far. "This dust is starting to get annoying. It's making everything slippery. Either that or I don't know how to walk right. Maybe both." With a shrug she kept pace with him, going back to her quiet observation.
