Goal: Create an original species with related lore, break-downs and explanations that are realistic and make sense.
Progress: 5%
Content Warnings: None that come from the top of my head, but I'll edit it whenever they arise.
Title: The Elivox
Synopsis: An original species of element wielding, winged vulpines that can be found across a wide variety of different places depending on their elements.
Author Notes: Never created a species before, so this might be messy.
"Eli" comes from the Scottish Gaelic "eileamaid" meaning element. "Vox" means voice in Latin, which is how they conjure their abilities.

The Elements:
Inferno. (Fire) Arid locations: deserts, near to volcanos, hot temperatures.
Aqua. (Water) Always close to a large body of water, whether ocean, rivers or lakes. Usually prefer colder climates.
Terra. (Earth) Often located within land-locked areas, typically tropical areas. Beaches with a lot of sand and rocks work too.
Zephyr. (Air) Alpine regions often, the higher the mountain the better. Tall hills will suffice in a pinch.
No light/darkness? Still debating on adding these. I feel as though I wanted to concentrate more on 'physical' elements.

Genetic Breakdown:
Fox - the vulpine genetics make up the vast majority of their physical make-up.
Bird - only consists of a very small portion, generally. There are rare mutations where there are more prominent features.
Traits:
Common (Found in the vast majority of Elivox)
- Any length/shape tail (vulpine)
- Any length/shape ears (vulpine)
- Any fox-shaped face
Uncommon (Found in a significantly smaller portion than above, but not unheard of)
- Tails of any length/shape (canine)
- Ears of any length/shape (canine)
- Any canine face shape
- Horns (of any shape/make [within reason])
Rare (Extremely small genetic pool have these traits)
- Genetic mutations affecting fur colour (melanism/albinism/ect)
- Dwarfism (mostly affects females)
- Gigantism (mostly affects males)
- Any other kind of ear/tail shape (mammal [within reason])
Legendary (Less than 1% have these traits, basically unheard of)
- Anything but feathered wings (bat/dragon/ect)
- Dominant avian features (beak/feathers/scaled appendages)
