I have SO many stories I've been rolling around on. More than I can count, really. But after I left school, motivation and discipline have really been a struggle! So, I think it's about time to set some goals to get me back into the swing of things!
I will be aiming to write 3 chapters every week! This doesn't sound like much, but I'm also working on the plot points and details to refine the story overall!
The story I will be working on is titled: A Soul's Devotion. Basically, this started out as a fanfiction idea, but with some serious workshopping, I've decided to make it into its own book!
Summary:
Ikal is an ancient wizard who's grown to miss the company of his dearly deceased familiar and partner, Yamin. So, using ancient magic, he creates a companion from a doll, but he cannot give the creation a true soul. Imani wishes to bring her creator true happiness when she notices his disappointment in her inability to exercise free will or do anything original. Accidentally leaving the protective barrier while he's away, she ends up making a contract with a demon and inviting it into herself. What consequences will her choices have? And can a living doll ever truly bring a smile to her master's face?

I decided to add in another work of mine because I was hit by inspo! It's called 'My Inheritance Is Marked By Death'. I just started this one the other day by writing out plot points and information about the world overall.

Nika is the eldest daughter of Duke Platos, but her younger sister inherited the family's Boon, meaning she would be the next Duchess instead. But her path is bathed in blood, leading her straight to not just her own, but her whole family's demise. Finding herself sent back in time, Nika decides to take the family title by force to try and save everyone she cares about.

Had to go to the hospital today, but I'm glad to have gotten so many words written out anyways! I plan to stick with this until the month is over! Maybe even continue anyways to get my books actually written after years of planning countless series out!

So I went back and added a second work to this write-a-thon. It's brand new, but I just finished writing the first chapter for it today! I really like how it turned out, and can't wait to continue the story going forward.

Wow! Really got the creative juices flowing! Second full chapter was finished today in just a couple hours! My sister has been editing each chapter once I finish them. She's really good at it. It helps me keep things coherent and grammatically correct!

Whoo-hoo! I've finished my goal early, and it's not even Wednesday yet! I'm still going to keep writing the rest of the week anyways, but I just love how productive this Write-A-Thon is making me! Now to keep this energy up the rest of the month!
I did all the math, and it took me 3 hours, 36 minutes, 53 seconds to write the 1,517 words for the chapter today. I was curious is all.

Well, I didn't reach my goal unfortunately, but life can be unexpected - multiple infections at different times, and being exposed to an allergen that narrowly avoided me a hospital trip. At least I got as much done as I did in the timeframe. It was still progress!
