Kalvath scoops up lil nori and follows after sarabella using flight magic "come on nori we gotta catch her and see what's going on!" They began to fly at a low speed to catch up to sarabella to figure out what's happening he calls out for her to try and get her to slow down "SARABELLA SLOW DOWN PLEASE WHATS GOING ON?"
She came to a stop when she reached her den. She shifted back "im sorry....i...I just dont understand what i did....Muffins upset with me or something and she won't tell me why..."
"She seemed unstable to me" he lands holds her close while holding nori and he says "how about we go inside and watch a movie with some multiflavored popcorn
And just take some time to calm down and and destress" kisses her forehead
"I wasn't done eating pancakes..." Elenore said, pouting with her arms folded.
She wiped her tears away "i shouldn't be so emotional...lets just forget about it for now....I guess ill try to talk to her again later..." she started walking inside.
He looks at nori how about some magical pancakes?" Then follows sarabella inside
She was still pouting. "But I wanted strawberry pancakes...the ones me and Lizbeth made...."
SaraBella sat down on the couch. She still looked down. She didnt understand what happened back there...what had she done? Why was Muffin angry with her?...
Lizbeth respectfully let SaraBella and Kalvath explain about this place, as in fact she herself was rather new here. Of course did she introduce herself to the neighborhood and kept contact. That scaled pangolin being closest, she never has to complain. Lizbeth herself lives a bit seclude, she always did, Muphyll’s tea did taste good.
As everybody traveled into her home she suddenly had the whole group eating pancakes. Luckily Kalvath had cleaned up the mess, an embarrassing thought, should the newcomer have seen the chaos.
But something went wrong, something unsaid emerges and somehow the rather joyful atmosphere turns darker. Lizbeth wanted to say something but SaraBella just ran of, followed by Kalvath and Elenore. Julian tried to hold her, Muphyll didn’t. In the doe’s head all turns and thoughts lead to other. The doe feels stupid, she didn’t see it coming, she didn’t feel that something were wrong, did her inner voices leave her?
This bothered her very much and that deer could only watch Julian rummaging her place.
Finally that doe finds herself in company with an obvious upset pangolin, a worrying newcomer and those left over pancakes.
“I don’t know what to say, I …”, definitely she needed that offered bath more than she could believe. “I’m sorry I feel like some cold hearted stupid being unable to react properly. ”
Lizbeth turns to Julian, “please excuse, I should have reacted otherwise, just take everything you need, I’m sure some place will be there for you, don’t worry.”
Then she has the delicate mission to talk to Muphyll, “my excuses to you too for my absence, but it bothers me a lot. I don’t want to be disrespectful and intrusive, but there is something untold, something happened. If ever I can be of any help, tell me. We’re neighbors and I love your teas, I will unravel the secret of your ginger tea.” The doe wants everyone to settle calmly, Kalvath and Elenore will take care of Sarabella, on the doe to help out Julian and care about Muphyll.
Lizbeth’s relaxing bath is momentarily postponed…

Again, Muffin didn’t reply. She simply sighed, her back still turned, before she turned towards Lizbeth and flatly stated, “I’ve been here for nearly a decade of my life and I find it for me to understand that SaraBella to accepts that having a human as a father. We don’t know if he has any inhumane intentions with us, we don’t know where or why he came here, we just know he lives with us.”
Muffin continued, “I simply want to know why that human wishes to befriend animals who already been persecuted through so much, and if he isn’t actually lying to everyone here or not.”
She then sighed, as if obtaining a headache, and then bounded down the stairs. “…I’m going home.”

Lizbeth nods, she understands totally, Muphyll's wariness against human kind is absolutely comprehensible. And before this one leaves her home, she explains:
"I can't say if Vaclar has false intentions or not. I didn't feel anything last time I saw him. I can feel the souls of other, I can feel torments done. I can say if a person is of bad or goodwill, if ever his soul is open to read." Lizbeth looks a bit ashamed to the floor, "same as for you, Muphyll, I could feel that deep inside you, you're a very good person, martyred by life. I can't say by whom or what, I just feel."
Lizbeth is indeed capable to 'read' souls, this is a very old cervine instinct she knows somehow to handle.
She lets Muphyll return to her house, no intention to stop her, no intention to bother her further.
This makes two left in Lizbeth house, the doe and the newcomer Julian, Lizbeth turns towards him with a smile and a shrug. "Another pancake?

Muffin stopped her march for a moment to listen to Lizbeth’s words. At least some people could believe that Muffin wasn’t paranoid. No, not paranoid—aggressive. Aggressive to that human. Who knows why he came here and what his intentions are. Muffin wishes to know, but every interaction with the human always lands to hostility emanating from her. Her mahogany scales did always sharpen around the human, especially around his daughter. Does the human really deserve such a kind-hearted daughter? Or is the daughter just naive to the human’s intentions?
She sighed, before retreating into her home.
“I need to play some chess…” she mumbled. “Maybe—“—a muffled name—“—could have a game with me to clear my mind…”

While giving, rather proposing the pancake to Julian, her mind is set somewhere else, away. Away from this man with those canine ears. Does he have a tail? The doe doesn’t even notice, her own flicking left right in discomfort. Lizbeth thinks about Muphyll, that turmoil inside, the hatred showing. The pangolin makes her think about her friend Max, who used to be same. They could have some nice conversation about breaking human bones.
Lizbeth shakes her head and returns to ‘host’ status, all ear for Julian

Yeah. Okay. He was definitely too tired to process everything that was going on. He blinked and the entire atmosphere was in shambles. And now what?
He simply accepted Lizbeth's offer for another pancake with another one of his weary smiles. It wasn't like he was in any shape to be useful here. 'Thanks. But it's fine, really,' he replied to her apologies, 'nobody can solve every bit of tension, especially not in a group bound by shared pain. Trust me, I know.'
He finally bit down. The pancake was just as delicious as the other one, but his mind was already drifting off to when SaraBella stormed off. Today was probably the first time in his life that he'd seens someone shift so fluently, so visibly from human form into animal form. He never managed to do that himself. He'd simply been stuck in his human-with-dog-features form, and he'd never seen his parents do that either, assuming he'd inherited his features from them.
He continued eating as Lizbeth and Muffin parted ways, following by Lizbeth spacing out for a moment. Something all too familiar to him. But when she seemed to snap back to reality, he took the opportunity to ask. 'This might sound like a stupid question, but, um, is everyone here able to shift between a human form and an animal form?'
(OOC: Don't worry, Cynwave, I do like me some tension and drama! :>)

I see, lmao! Glad to have helped ^^
Also, I think I forgot to add this in the introduction, but Muffin also has a secret alter ego, which she rarely uses. She may or may not use it if SaraBella were to run into trouble.
Meanwhile, Muffin remained in her home, trotting about in her humble abode, down under the cupboard to obtain her chess board. She placed it on the table in her quaint kitchen, and trotted over to the stove to heat up some more of her ginger tea in a kettle.
While her delicate claws cranked up the heat and let the tea simmer, she couldn’t help but feel that turmoil inside of her after that conversation. Not of a turmoil of hate, but… sadness.
Her parents were lost to a forest fire. Started by who? Careless humans. The turmoil shifted into subtle anger, but she had to push it down, for now. It’s time for her to relax. She’ll take it all out on her game of chess.
Just at that thought, the kettle whistled a banshee’s song. She sighed, cranking the stove off, holding the rubber of her kettle. She really should get a new kettle…
“What a day…” the stoic figure mumbled, pouring her tea onto an antique teacup.

Back to reality, Lizbeth is able to answer this question right away, not even a doubt or an absence in her eyes.
"No not everyone. Some are able to shift into different forms, more or less feral, like SaraBella and Kalvath, which is a mage in fact. Some have just either anthropomorphic form or feral, like Max, our lumberjack. And some, like me are 'stuck' in their form. I can't shift, that possibility was not given to me when they took my feral form and 'humanized' my body... " she presents her body with an elegant move, showing her rather feminine human form, but still furred and with deer's legs, ..."into this."
The doe has learned to live with it, and in contrary to Muphyll, her anger is gone, to find her peace, she even forgave her worst enemy, human. But wariness and memories stay.
Lizbeth looks better at Julian, seeing that way more human body and yet those canine ears. To her surprise, Julian has two pair of ears. "That is surprising, you're animal and yet so human, I see you have canine features but a more human appearance, do you know why this is so?" the doe asks curiously
Julian listened with laser focus as he kept eating the pancake. It was fascinating to hear the doe explain about these people and their animal forms, which she called 'feral' -- wild, but free, he imagined. Free to fembrace both sides of their existence at will. Free to be their full, fluid selves. He'd always wondered what it would be like to finally connect with 'his kind', but now that it was finally happening, he could only think of himself in an awkward position.
He thought of Muffin and followed the doe's gesture to her own body, and very suddenly he got the creeping feeling that he was missing out on something seemingly inherent to everyone else.
He felt the opposite of feral.
Domesticated.
The thought evoked a small grimace. It slipped through only a tiny crack in his composure, but it showed nonetheless. Especially when Lizbeth brought it up, too. Could she read his mind or something? He wasn't too happy with the question. But after her honest answer, it was only fair he'd give one in return.
'You're right. Yeah... I was raised and socialised as a human. I feel like I'm human. Learned to hide my animal features -- beanies, baggy jeans, the whole caboodle.' With a weak chuckle he finally finished his pancake and set the plate on the nearest table, leaving himself uncertain what to do with his hands now. This topic was a little too awkward to sit perfectly still. Wringing his hands would have to do for now. 'I asked my parents about the ears. They just waved it away. They might be animal-shapeshifters too, who mastered total secrecy. Or they might not. Hell, I could be adopted, for all I know.'
Deep breath in, deep breath out. Then he finally looked Lizbeth in the eyes again. 'At some point I gave up on getting answers. Simply moved on and tried to "unlock" my animal side. But I stayed human. Just a human. With dog ears.' Technically he had a tail, too, but he'd learned to hide it with what little magic he could grasp on his own. Maybe he should ask someone to teach him proper shapeshifting someday. If he was even capable of that.
'I'm guessing everyone here has a tough history regarding this whole... animal-among-humans situation. And having your body changed against your will like that? Sounds rough, Lizbeth. I'm sorry to hear that.'
