These are the laws of the RP. I don't do them to be mean, but to try to keep the RP balanced and running smoothly. If you don't agree with any of these, send me a PM and we can discuss things there, or if you really hate them, then please, don't even bother joining. Also, I will enforce these rules, so please read them to avoid any mishaps during the RP. First time offense will receive a week's suspension; second offense will receive a month's suspension; third offense will result in a permanent ban from the RP. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
#1: NO GODMODDING
Nobody is going to be perfect. There are no perfect people in this world, and there shouldn't be any perfect characters. Yes, you may have strengths, but you must also have weaknesses. Everyone does. This is just for the sake of at least semi-realism. So not every shot will be perfect, not every blow will hit. Your character will get hurt occasionally, but don't worry, they won't have to die unless you want them to. However, if a single character decides to take on a horde all by themselves, then yeah, they probably won't make it out alive. If they come out without a scratch, then we have issues.
I will allow things like Rocket Launchers; this is, after all, a TF2 crossover and a Rocket Launcher is a weapon. However, ammo will be very hard to find for such a thing, so it probably won't be used quite as much as, say, a Shotgun or a Shovel. Eventually you will run out of ammo and then you have to find more in order to use it again; sorry, but no pulling a Hershel and having infinite ammo.
#2: NO POWERPLAYING
This is simply common sense but I'm surprised at how often I see this happen. Basically, don't control another person's character without their permission. This means no one-hit kills/automatic hits on a character being RPed by another member. The only exception to this rule are NPCs such as zombies and any other random characters that may pop in from time to time. They're not important and probably will get killed off quickly.
Do note that a Spy disguising as another person doesn't count as powerplaying, as the actual person still exists and the Spy is just disguised as them. I don't see a lot of disguises happening here as the REDs and BLUs have to work together, but you never know. It could be an interesting tactic.
#3: OOC AND IC ARE DIFFERENT THINGS
Keep them separate! If my character calls yours a frog face, this doesn't mean I'm calling you a frog face. My character is just insulting your character, that's all. Remember, this is a story, not an actual conversation that's going on. Don't take it so seriously.
Also, if my character has a crush on your character, this doesn't mean I have a crush on you. Again, this is a story, and it's the character's actions, not ours.
#4: LITERACY IS A MUST
No one liners, and no excessive spelling and grammar errors. You have no idea how hard it is to reply to a one liner, because they don't typically give a lot of information to reply to. It's also quite annoying, especially if you've poured your heart and soul into a nice multi paragraph post and all you get is one sentence in return. I personally find it rude and a huge turn off in an RP.
Also, we have dictionaries and periods for a reason! If you're not sure how to spell something, please take the minute to look it up on Dictionary.com or something, and never underestimate the power of correct grammar. If your post makes no sense or takes a couple of times to understand, more likely than not you have multiple spelling and punctuation errors in there. I know we all make mistakes (and mobile users have that pesky spellcheck to contend with XP) so I won't kill you for forgetting a comma here or a letter there. But please, do put some effort into your posts. We'll all thank you for it.
#5: KEEP THINGS PG-13, PLEASE
No over-the-top violence, swearing, or sexual situations. This is a TF2 and a zombie RP, so violence is to be expected, but honestly, none of us really need to know the exact manner in which someone's guts get strewn across the floor. Occasional swearing is fine, I don't mind, but please don't cuss every other word and drop the F-Bomb all over the place. It gets old really quick. Sex has no place in the zombie apocalypse so I'm not sure how this could potentially arise, but if it does, please time-skip. I want to try to keep this friendly for everyone on the forums.
