Many of our images on AotM were either hand made or taken from publicly available resources like Inkarnate or free vector and png sites, or from concept art from large games, shows, or movies. Others were donated by players past and present! We'd like to use this page both give thanks to those who have helped to make this story shine, and to direct other creators to the same useful resources that we have enjoyed having available while putting together this community.
 Inkarnate is a super useful map making program that we used for most of our maps! It has a free version, but its definitely worth springing for the features of the paid version too! We also used it to make our Sanctuary Gate image! This is a paid resource, but it costs barely anything, and gives you access to some really beautiful assets for uses in places like Inkarnate and other map makers.
Vector & png Repositories
Image repository sites like Freepik, Vecteezy, and PNGTree are useful for finding a lot of different types of images. Just be aware that some of these sites use AI and that you may have to toggle it off.Customize a whole bunch of different kinds of icons! They've got almost everything! Really useful for character face claims/play bys, or for scenery. Useful for finding art for various uses from published, big name games. |
