Welcome Aboard the Celestia Maris!
Your ticket has been stamped, your bags are aboard, and the sea is calling. Here’s everything you’ll need to enjoy your seven-day voyage.
⸻
✧ 1. Boarding & First Posts
Start anywhere that feels natural such as the boarding ramp, pool deck, dining hall, or your private cabin. There’s no required order of arrival.
Introduce your character however you like: luggage in hand, already lounging by the pool, or simply gazing at the ocean. Casual or dramatic are welcome.
Tip: If you’re new, the pool bar or promenade are great places to meet others quickly.
⸻
✧ 2. Writing Style
• Third-person narrative is preferred, but inner dialogue and thoughts are fine.
• Keep your tone social and inclusive within public areas. This is a relaxed, vacation-style setting meant for mingling.
• You may use color for dialogue if you wish, as long as it remains readable.
⸻
✧ 3. Multiple Scenes
The ship is large and lively! To keep things flowing smoothly, we’ll open several areas as separate threads:
• ☀️ Sun Deck & Pool Bar – swimsuits, drinks, and sunshine
• 🌙 Starlight Lounge – nightlife, dancing, and live music
• 🍽️ Coral Café & Dining Hall – formal dinners, themed nights, and conversation
• 🌴 Island Excursions – off-ship adventures when we reach each port
• 💎 Promenade Deck – shops, games, and chance encounters
You may move your character between them at any time. Just make a brief closing line when exiting one scene before joining another.
⸻
✧ 4. Events & Mini-Games
Throughout the week, special events will appear:
• A Masquerade Night in the ballroom
• A Treasure Hunt during one of the island stops
• A few shipboard surprises like karaoke, mystery games, and themed challenges
Participation is optional but encouraged! These are great opportunities to meet new players and characters.
⸻
✧ 5. Etiquette
• Keep it welcoming. If someone new joins your thread, include them.
• Light romance, humor, and playful flirtation are fine. This is a cruise, after all.
• No god-moding or controlling another character’s actions without permission.
• If a scene becomes too busy, feel free to open a side thread (for example, “Pool Deck - Late Evening”).
• it is completely acceptable to set up a 1x1 thread. Just be sure to specify in the title that it is 1x1.
⸻
✧ 6. Duration & Closure
The Caribbean Cruise will run for seven in-character days (about three or so real weeks). You can pace your posts as you like. Time on the ship flows as gently as the tide.
A closing post will be added once we dock at the final island, followed by a brief farewell thread for goodbyes and photos.
⸻
✧ 7. Most of All…
Relax. Chat. Write. Have fun.
This cruise was designed as a warm, easy entry for new members and a creative getaway for everyone else. The sea is wide, the drinks are cold, and the adventure is yours to shape.
