✦ Species: Edre - Lovebird
─★ The Edre race (or Avian touched) are ruled by the constellation of Pavo. They are a very excitable race who can be extremely talkative and often are insatiably curious creatures. They are excellent at carrying and delivering messages, having the ability to mimic the voice of the person sending the message. Arivice himself is very good with this ability dubbed "Mimicry" by his people.
The Edre themselves have a body build on the willowy side with a few sturdier builds showing up here and there depending on which kind of bird species they are touched with. Each group of bird types tend to stick with their own kin, rarely integrating with others - though it's not unheard of for several flocks to merge together in times of need.
Common Edre features include: Talons or birdlike feet, feathers on arms, tail feathers, small bird-like wings attached to their shoulders, beaks instead of mouths, feathers for hair and some even lack external ears. Their eye colors vary between amber, gold, reddish-brown and black while their hair color varies depending on which species they represent. If it's found in the natural bird world, it can be found in their hair.
One thing to note about the Edre race is that a good number of them mate for life. If their mate dies, the one left behind is thrown into a grief so heavy that they often follow their mate soon after their death.
Despite the possibility of having wings, the Edre race does not possess the ability to fly no matter how hard they try. Their wings are not strong enough, even if they have lighter bones than most other races, and because they possess no tiya, or magic, it is impossible for them to become airborne. The most they can do is glide, and that is only for a short period of time.
Edre do not eat often, or much. Their diet consists of whatever diet their bird type has - for example, a vulture type Edre may eat a lot of meat while a parrot may stick to only grains, seeds and the occasional fruit.

Arivice is able to modulate his voice to mimic most sounds near perfectly, including that of other people. As such, he makes a fantastic messenger, especially if tone and intention is important.

Being a bright, kind, and talkative person, Arivice makes for wonderful companionship. He is friendly and affectionate, enjoying touch and cuddling and being close to others.

Ari is a kind, genuine person who goes out of his way to be the brightness in someone's existence. He is optimistic to a fault, though far from naïve, understanding intimately the darker nature of people and the world but choosing to focus on the positive. His loyalty is steadfast and once a friend, always a friend as far as he's concerned with very few exceptions to that rule.
As an extrovert, he loves being around people. He is touchy, and affectionate, and always down to cuddle. There's not a malicious bone in his body (most of the time), ever the diplomat and is skilled in smoothing ruffled feathers, so to speak.
That being said, there are a few things that get under his skin. Being mistaken for a woman just because of his pretty appearance, is the easiest way to annoy him. It isn't uncommon for him to go along with the misunderstanding, until an opportune time. Talk with no substance is also a way to allow his easily distracted nature to take hold making his attention a chore to keep.
