Bag: Filled with the basic necessities of an average trainer. Also includes the following:
Pokédex: Includes all of the data on pokémon that she's studied in her own region as well as a few from her travels.
Pokégear: Includes time & date, map, phone and phone number listings, radio.
Pokéballs: Six standard balls housing her team as well as six back ups and a few of the special balls.
- While she appears cheery and happy on the outside, she actually suffers from clinical depression that stems from low self esteem issues due to being made fun of most of her life by the other children. For her father supposedly being gay (flamboyant pink hair and the seeming appearance of pink sparkles all around him) and her mother just being an excuse/alibi for him, to her being too geeky for wanting to grow up to be a researcher and teacher instead of a master or top coordinator. She wasn't popular as a child and that's had a deep psychological effect on her but like most that suffer with depression, she does a good job of hiding it.
- As mentioned above, she has several phobias, including fear of being single/never being loved, fear of storms, fear of being alone and fear of abandonment. She hides these as well as she hides her depression, though the fear of storms is obvious as she gets ridiculously frightened during them and tends to hide or cling to someone for comfort.
- She is exceptionally smart. She's actually considered a genius, with her IQ being 160, but she does her best to hide this behind silly, cute personality quirks. Her real intelligence shines through when she's talking about pokémon stats or doing things like repairing or updating her pokégear or pokédex.
- She is a terrible cook. She can manage to set water on fire. She wants to learn to be better at it but just seems to lack the natural talent.
- She loves to learn new things and tends to take to new skills fairly easily and well, with the exception of cooking.
- She has the bad tendency to harbor secret feelings for others that develop into unrequited love and eventual heartbreak because she's too terrified of rejection to speak up.
- She is allergic to peanuts. She always carries allergy medicine with her just in case.
- She likes to be prepared for any eventuality and somehow manages to keep a well stocked contingency plan complete with emergency supplies in her rather small looking bag.
- She's pretty good at sewing so she can keep clothing repaired.
- Hyper-cleanly. She doesn't like being dirty in the least and can be a little OCD about staying clean.
This is a really crappy WIP so bear with me!
Sydni was born in Neon City to Aquilla and Zenas Breaker. Her mother was a coordinator and her father was the gym leader for the city. She had a pretty carefree upbringing, her parents focused on letting her choose her path and providing her with plenty of love along the way. Despite the general meanness of the other children, she worked hard. Like most trainers who start their journey at the age of ten, Syd took an extra five years to read up and learn as much as she could to help supplement her dream of being a researcher and teacher. Her starter pokémon was a Phanpy that she chose specifically because of its mutation of having ears that were too long for it. It tended to trip over them a lot and had difficulty walking because of it. It was an outcast, just like her and they bonded immediately.
She set off on her journey with Phanpy in tow, training hard on her way to the Johto region. She eventually acquired a team consisting of a Vulpix, Pidgey, Charmelon, Pachirisu, Buneary and a rare, shiny Lucario with the ability to speak like a human. Lucario, along with Phanpy, are Syd's closest confidants, Lucario mainly because he can converse with her and offers insights that she may need and Phanpy because he's been with her the longest and understands her well, even if he can't voice it the way Lucario does. Lucario tends to act as translator for her other pokémon and as such, she has quite a strong bond with all of them.
Sydni is currently in Goldenrod City, where she's met her very first friends, a really cute boy named Blake and his (not)girlfriend Christille. Syd instantly gets a crush on Blake, but seeing the way he acts around Christille, she already knows she doesn't have a chance. Still, she's happy to actually have friends that aren't pokémon for a change.
