• Character Background

  Tybolt is the oldest among several children born to the pariah noble, Desha Fa'arrinsetoch*. He does not publicly use her surname due to this reason and possibly some circumstance involving his father's identity.
  
  By his mother's request, he had received vocational training as a blacksmith, successfully completing his apprenticeship and reaching journeyman status. However, after a rarely-discussed incident involving the collapse of a wagon he was working on... Tybolt abandoned the craft and found taking advantage of his great size and strength by fighting for coin to be a far more suitable and entertaining profession.
  
  However, his life as a brawler abruptly ended when the recently-disinherited Marianne Danielle du Vallon, whom he had once courted*¹ shouted him out of a ditch when she wanted a remotely reliable someone that would also look good in formal attire to carry her bags and protect her possessions.
  
  * Characters may know rumors of her outlandish story: Rumors of a quintuple-widow who was only suspected of killing each husband, illegally-transferred land deeds of dubious origin (although the madame was never declared guilty of a single crime!) and a torrid affair with a gifted orchestral violinist by the name of Victoria L'Renouille.
  
  *¹ They don't talk about it. Supposedly, Marianne had particularly enjoyed their time together and even rooted with great zeal for Tybolt when they were inebriated during a celebration gone rowdy at her uncle's estate and she provoked a fight! Sadly, everything was called off shortly thereafter since re-arranging another potential suitor's face as badly as he did is just not proper.

• Skillset

  
  Tybolt is currently working as a bodyguard and personal aide (doing damage control for, on the side...) in the service of Marianne Danielle du Vallon.
  
  ...However, given their fierce sexual tension and fact they often bicker like a long-married couple, one may presume they have far more than a business relationship.
  
  By definition, Tybolt can also be considered a legally-recognized member of nobility due to his mother playing the system, although he does not willingly accept this status and keeps a signet ring denoting his "birthright" hidden at all times, preferring to travel and live as a commoner.
  
  Tybolt also possesses skills from several trades and hobbies!
  
  Blacksmith: As noted, Tybolt's youth found him in this field but he quickly withdrew from further advancement after some sort of accident that is not spoken of. During this time he also picked up several woodcrafting skills.
  
  Farmhand: Tybolt worked as a farmhand in a small ranch outside Benicoeur for two seasons during his later teenage years. During this time he learned simple farming techniques, basic handling of farming tools, and gained experience in efficient harvesting.
  
  Mentalism: During his childhood, his mother attempted to pass down some of her manipulation skills. Although created for stage performance, these skills of personality can be integrated into everyday life.

  • Cold and Hot Reading
    Cold reading is a series of techniques that can be used to analyze details and traits of a target furre in order to quickly determine facts about them and their history, oftentimes in order to convince the target that the reader knows much more about them or a particular subject than they actually do. These skills can be used to quickly gain friendship or information. Hot reading is a variation of this skill, in which information obtained prior to the initial encounter with the target is utilized to enhance and expedite the process.
  • Social Engineering
    Through the combination of his reading skill and knowledge of confidence tricks -- the art of playing to the strengths and weaknesses of others combined with his own baseline friendly nature, Tybolt is often capable of learning information that is dangerous or can be made dangerous to others if used in a particular way. If needed, Tybolt is capable of exploiting these ways.

• Distinguishing Features

  Besides his large build and stature, a large portion of his right ear has been severed, resulting in some hearing difficulty.
  
  There is also a large, jagged scar running straight down the length of his back, beginning at his right shoulder blade and ending at his flank. Naturally, this can't be determined when he is clothed, but it's impossible to miss when uncovered, as there's no fur growing in that area.
  

  

• Personality and Abilities

  
  Tybolt is a good-natured roguish character, stalwart in the pursuit of mastery of self. While he is not above using questionable means to achieve his goals at times, but they are always well-intentioned or aimed towards advancing the greater good. Tybolt is by no means a villainous character.
  
  Burst Strength: Given his impressive size and the weight behind it, Tybolt is a naturally strong furre. However, his reckless nature and will to surpass his limits makes him capable of pushing himself further to to the point of performing surprising feats of strength. In these situations, dice rolls may be needed to determine successes.
  
  Magic Resistance: Tybolt is highly magic resistant, causing the effects of magic to become weakened when he is in close proximity. This ability is considered to be innate in the way that some furres are considered "naturally lucky", for example, and is not biological or supernatural in nature.

• Drawbacks

  Burdened: As a result of both his burst strength and the weight of his own bulk, Tybolt is susceptible to various aches and pains, and can be prone to easily exerting himself. This combined with a penchant for showmanship sometimes causes him to hurt himself inadvertently as well, although Tybolt is by no means a glass cannon.
  
  Chaotic Temperament: Due to his experiences as a brawler hobbyist, Tybolt has essentially become the medieval equivalent of an adrenaline junkie. Because of this, he is occasionally apt to incite others negatively or to act irrationally for the sake of deriving enjoyment from the unnecessary stress caused to others.

• Equipment

  Tybolt rarely carries more than coin for necessities, and with exception to his favorite pair of boots and occasionally his studded leather combat gloves (which are usually in the possession of Marianne), his clothing is seasonal. Tools and anything else must be procured when required.
  
  Hidden within his clothing is a uniquely-crafted signet ring that in the event of an emergency could theoretically be used to reveal his noble heritage. In most cases, he would see this to be even more troublesome than simply fighting his way out of a problem, however.
