• Description

  Magnus stands at 5'11", with a somewhat muscular body well hidden under his white coat. Steel pauldrons on his shoulders give him protection against any attacks that glance off his defense. A white sleeveless vest adorns his chest, lightly armored against piercing blows. White gloves cover his hands, as unremarkable as the cuff boots that guard shins and feet or the fitted suit pants that bring the ensemble together. Golden eyes complete the look, shining with an otherworldly flame.
  
  Somewhere on his body, a blue crystal can always be found, unassuming yet incredibly powerful. It is from this crystal that Magnus can summon Xardion, an indestructible (but not unbreakable) weapon that takes any shape at his mental command, most commonly being a sword and kite shield. Should he be slain, the crystal reverts to blade form and embeds itself solidly into the ground, awaiting Magnus' soul for regeneration and eventual resurrection.

• Powers

  -Flame creation and manipulation
  Magnus is a master of the art of pyromancy, an ability that stems from training received when he was young, enhanced by a strong will and the connection between Xardion and his soul. In time, Magnus has learned to use his dominion over flames in a myriad of ways, from boosting himself as a rocket to roasting armies of beasts with blasts of flame. His abilities also let him snuff out fires created by him and naturally ocurring ones, although more focus is needed for demonic flames or those created by other pyromancers.
  
  -Mental control
  Magnus can manipulate every shard of Xardion with his thoughts, making the crystal weapon a very useful tool both in battle and on the field. He can create shields, blast his enemies with a shower of deadly crystal shards or even trap them temporarily in a dome. The connection between Xardion and Magnus is so strong that the crystal is like an extension of him, being manipulated with very little effort even when his focus is elsewhere, but it has its limits. Exhaustion can hamper his ability to move the weapon fluently, forcing him to take a more defensive stance until he can recover.
  
  -Teleportation
  Magnus can quickly translocate himself great distances, leaving only a faint flash of light as signal of his departure or arrival. His connection with Xardion permits him to travel in and out of local spacetime, although even he is unaware of where he goes for the fleeting moment he disappears, his awareness continuing seamlessly at the instant of reappearance. Lightning or other electrical attacks can disrupt the translocation, stopping him from achieving it or in some cases, even flinging him through time instead of space.
  
  -Superior Physical Ability
  After the fire that destroyed his home, Magnus has effectively become ageless, although he can be killed in a sense. His body was consumed by the flames, but his soul bonded with them, his powerful will and a desire for revenge reforming the young man's physique and augmenting it beyond that of a human. The very same energies that power his flames sustain his new body, permitting him exertions far beyond what he was capable before, even providing him with a degree of regeneration should the wounds be too severe. He does not bleed when cut, instead heat and wisps of flame escape through the wound, as it slowly closes and seals. His speed and agility are far greater than a normal human, permitting him to dance around most supernatural threats with ease, matching lesser demi-gods at his peak. His physical strength is unremarkable in comparison, as although it's beyond the scope of regular men, it falls short when pitted against most supernatural threats he encounters.
  
  -Immortality
  Should Magnus' body sustain more damage than he can repair, be it because of extensive compromising of structural integrity or a drain on his energy reserves far higher than his soul can sustain, his body will dissipate into wisps of white flame and disappear. His soul however will return to Xardion, which will lock down and embed itself in the ground in blade form for 2 days, time needed for the drained soul to passively regenerate itself. Once it's whole again, it will leave the blade and reform Magnus' body, with his consciousness awakening as if he had been in a deep sleep. All his memories will be retained, but his body will be frail and human for the first 24 hours, seeming somewhat ethereal until he can fully reintegrate into his usual form.
