Ciel Hawthorne

In one universe, Ciel was a citizen of Ramsgate. And an obsessed conspiracy theorist. And a developing esper with little thought to his own abilities.

Much of his life he closed himself off from society, harboring heavy mistrust in the city and slowly driving himself off the walls in his struggle to unearth the shady dealings of the Twilight. Really, did no one else notice the weird shit that was happening behind the scenes?!

Then the Wild Hunt happened, and much of his perception on the goings on in the underneath was turned on its head. He was one of a handful to live through the hunt with the help of a group of fellow survivors and a promise of a mysterious favor for of all people, Lynx. But how could life return to normal after all that? Now, he spends his time doing thorough research of the Nightzone and visiting "only to return your homicidal child, Dr. Mann."

In another universe, some things are different. Others stay the same.

Ciel happens to be quite productive if he puts his mind to it, and in the far flung city of Gildiara, he works on the side as a prolific informant. Unfortunately, he is still quite a mad man when it comes to weird theories about everything from Elder monsters to shady government plots. Few tolerate him outside his work, but many of his ideas do have some truth to them. He is, after all, Lune-touched--with all the strange abilities that come with it.

His most valued--and most troublesome--partner happens to be one Bryn Avenair. He's not sure if he regrets meeting her or not.
