    • Home again, Home again February 10th 2019

      As I was in the process of finally settling into my new home, I received and email from a long lost friend informing me that the city of New Versailles had been rebuilt after the horrific storm. The sudden emptiness that I was feeling inside of my chest had felt like it was filling back up, like hope was replacing the loss.

      Looking around the large house that was given to me by my boss, I knew deep down it really wasn't home. The only home for this country boy, was back in his bayou,with the critters and crickets, gators, and swamp creatures.

      I had looked down at Gabe and smiled, "We are going home bud."

      It had been quite a while since I have updated anything, well lets see, lost my home, lost my gal. Left Lousiana, as there seemed to be nothing left for me there. Took what belongings I had plus Gabe and Lady. I just hit the road, not knowing where I would end up.

      Making my way north, I managed to find a place called Ward Six. Seemed like good a place as any. Spent a few days here before I landed myself a job. Not sure what it is that I will be officially doing. All I know is that I am hired muscle and a guard. Pay's good and came with a roof over my head.

      Lets see how this all goes.

      It has been quite some time since I have been active, let alone ventured out into the world. I don't remember much of the time that has passed, all I know is that I miss Cali. I often think of her and wonder how she is doing.

      I got tired of being in the house, plus Gabe and Lady were needing to get out, they had been going stir crazy. I decided to take them out for a walk into town. Nothing special, but it was a change of scenery for them.

      As I went around the city, spying usual haunts, the oddest thing had happened. I was stopped and asked if I could be painted, as I had the perfect features. I didn't see why not, even offered to pay the artist for their troubles.

      After a while, I got to see the finished product, and I am not disappointed.
