The town below Scarhawk Castle woke up to a panic this morning, as the farmers quickly discovered their fields flooded by the swelling river that runs through the island. The rains got heavier over night, and then suddenly stopped. But the sun peeking out of the clouds is not a bearer of good fortune. The fields, irrigated by the river were the only areas affected seriously, but with the river running higher, it wouldn't take much more rain to start flooding the town.
It's not all bad news, the flooding will, eventually, be good for the soil. It just came at an inopportune time. In the short term, crops may be lost.
The skies are clearing, but clouds tumble above the lake, an ominous reminder that the weather could change in an instant.
