Beyond Our Star

More likely than not, before I add your race and planet to this list, I will make suggestions or ask questions just so that there's enough information to be used. Don't take it personally, I just want things to be as clear as possible. Some criteria must be listed, however, so I will lay down some ground rules for the alien races allowed in my group.

1. No "humans" or "Earth". Be creative, it's boring if you just have a futuristic Earth in another solar system that have slight differences, like they're more advanced or they have red skin or something. Aliens can be as unique as you want them to be, so please let your creativity flow.

2. Please refrain from excessive raunchy descriptions in your application. The group is made to allow minors, and anything public will have to remain PG-13 at least.

3. Please be unique in your designs, and don't make your entire race something someone else created (unless you have explicit permission from the original creator to do so). If your race matches the art of what someone else created completely, then it is not your original race.

4. Use detail! It's hard to imagine things if you don't actually use detail in how things work. This is a team worldbuilding group, and we work together to create a solar system and work it together.

5. Make sure to pay attention to the planets that other people have used already! For example, there are only two moons that are habitable on the largest gas giant, and one is already inhabited by a race of my own. Please read everything before applying!

Now, on to the actual races...

Creator: Scrongo

Okeraj is one of the moons on the largest gas giant. From afar, its appearance is largely cloudy with a more purple tinge, given that an ocean of purple makes up a large percentage of the planet.

The planet is inhabited by a race named the Zargoe. This race generally appears as bipedal, with blue skin ranging from different colors, depending on the subrace. Each Zargoe has six eyes on their face, four of which are usually closed. They have no sense of smell and therefore no nose, but they do have a mouth with very sharp teeth and a purple-ish inside, the lips being a violet-tinged blue. To breathe, they have tendrils atop their head coming from the hairline to the back of their neck, hanging loosely and unable to be physically controlled. They each have tiny pores in the thick outer shell, the inside being a gooey organ that breathes in their planet's toxic air. They have two legs and two arms, hands having four fingers and two opposable thumbs, and feet having three toes each. They have no mammory glands or external organs excluding their skin and tendrils, and thus wear little to no clothing, depending on the region.

There are four subspecies, each separated from the contents they reside at. Sinsausio Zargoes reside in the north and as a result, tend to have lighter blue skin and wear heavier clothes as well as having less metabolism in order to pack on weight for the cold. These are the most scientifically based Zargoes and were the first to reach another moon through a spacecraft before the introduction of interplanetary technology by Hyule. The closer the residence to the ocean, the more of a greenish tinge they will have.

Chinuz Zargoes reside on a large median continent in the west. They generally wear clothing only for show, depending on area of residence. They are much darker blue than Sinsausio Zargoes. They focus mainly on entertainment, literature, history, and the likes. As a result, the continent's most used language is the most spread across the world, being Harsifrutian, the language of the continent's largest and most prominent country.

Zimankhan Zargoes reside on a much smaller continent in the east closest to the equator, and as a result are very dark in skin color, and wear the least amount of clothing. Their metabolism is very high to account for the hot climate. Medicine and agriculture is mainly used in that area, although the continent is mainly populated in smaller towns spread about.

Wenohki Zargoes reside on the south pole, surrounded by ice and isolated from the rest of the globe for many centuries. These are the most greenish and can end up being even a light seafoam color, with the same low metabolism as the Sinsausio Zargoes. Wenohki are generally seen as the most violent and unwanted out of the planet, however, and are generally left out.

They are omnivorous in eating habits, but they cannot handle sugar nor heavy spices or even lots of salt. However, when off planet, they must always wear a mask over their tendrils connected to a container of air from their planet, or they will readjust to the air of the area that they reside in and cannot safely return to their own planet.

Wars in this species are very uncommon, although they have occurred. Generally the culture changes from continent to continent, but they each have a specific focus that drives each of their residents forward. As a result, their kind are stereotyped as weak or useless from the more militaristic, and due to the agreeable nature of their leaders, seen as complete idiots and "yes"-people.

They have no gender in their race due to lack of necessity. Each of them do not quite understand gender as it is a foreign concept and use they/them.

The planet is on the outermost side of the largest gas giant, and is the coldest. It is very icy around most of the planet, and as a result appears to be very white, while having grayish land around the equator. Greenery is limited, but does exist. Clouds also cover a large percentage of the land. There are blue oceans as well, but the clouds cover most of it and make it appear a very light blue instead.

The race on this planet is the Aosi, a bipedal race with leather-like off-yellow skin. They have six beady eyes on their forehead, arranged in a pyramidal shape. Their skin is very tough and leather-like, but their face is actually very human-like. They generally have a oval shaped head with a mouth and fin-like ears placed in a similar place to humans. They have no noses. Where humans would normally have eyes, however, they have weaker bone and skull to protect their brain, but usually wear a covering over that region to protect the weakest part of their skull. They have two arms and six fingers with one opposable thumb, and two legs with seven toes each. They have a pouch on their back which is covered in skin. It feels much like fat but it actually stores another organ inside.

There are no subspecies.

They are carnivorous and will eat anything put in front of them out of politeness, and most of the time are able to digest it. They can digest plants, but most of the time have not eaten them previously and as a result must have it in small amounts.

This species is seen as mostly hush-hush, not sharing much of anything and putting on a "mask" for others. As a result, people tend to think they're boring as a race or have all sorts of rumors about them- none of which are confirmed or denied, however.

They have no gender.

The planet Getys resides between two gas giants along with three other planets. It is a very bright blue color from large oceans and lighter blue-colored plant life on its planet.

The race on this planet is the Gnagn, which is a race with royal blue skin and four arms. Their heads are circular, generally, and have three eyes on it, one of which is placed on the forehead. Their eyes are a very bright yellow and have slit pupils with no irises. They have two mouths, one placed in the human position, and another placed below it. The second one hardly opens and has much sharper retractable teeth, but is unable to be used for speaking, hence only being used while fighting or eating meat. They have noses as well that are shaped more like the nose of a dog, although usually being dry rather than wet like a dog's. On their head, they have hardened sponge in a specific shape. These sponges have no nerves or blood vessels in them and function much like hair, and as a result can be cut or styled as such. They have two legs and six toes on each foot, and on each hand they have five fingers and one opposable thumb. Skin may vary from area to area, but usually it is a very rich, dark blue.

They are omnivorous, the top mouth eating only plants and vegetables, and the bottom mouth eating meat. They can eat only one or another at a time, and must wait for one mouth to finish chewing before using the other. As a result, they cannot speak while eating meat.

This species is seen mostly as a more argumentative and indecisive planet, as the planet is split into several different nations that can never agree on who to send as a representative, and thus have at least 50 different representatives at an event that would require less than 20.

They have a gender binary based on the role one takes in society, and not any actual biology. Fetn, which uses he/him, generally assumes the role of "explorer", taking things by the reins and coming up with new ideas, places, or innovations. Tuen, which uses she/her, generally assumes the role of "leader", keeping things stable and comfortable for all involved. Leaders are all Tuen, while their advisers can be either Tuen or Fetn, depending on the sort of leader they would wish to be. Gnagn are always able to switch between genders and may do so at any time, depending on the sort of role they would wish to take. Children do not have gender until they decide their gender at the age of 20 (or earlier, if a firm decision is made, but generally people won't refer to them as that gender until they're 20).

The planet itself is nearby the back of the habitable zone, and as a result is a bit colder. The planet itself is small and has many green oceans, thus making the planet green in appearance, with an icy light green instead of just pure white.

The race on this planet is the Cyrroks, a bipedal race with wool-like fur covering most of their bodies. Their skin underneath the wool is a leathery green, but the wool itself can be of any different color, and in fact the color of the wool is indicative of a subrace. They have two legs with one knee and an ankle that works much like that of a horse, having hooves at the bottom of their legs instead of feet. They have two arms as well, hands sticking out of the mass of wool being very large as compared to the rest of the body underneath the wool, however looking proportional next to the wool. They, much like sheep, need to be shaved of their wool on a regular basis, which is every few months, or their wool will get too long and will obstruct their day-to-day work. Their faces are much like humans except with less of a big nose and more of just two nostrils on their face, and their pupils are a horizontal bar with irises of any color. Their wool is around their face on their head, around their body, and everywhere except for their hooves and hands.

There are three subspecies. One, the Audalt, tends to have black wool and paler green skin. These live closer to the north, the black fur absorbing heat in the cold. These tend to be more sparse but are generally civilized and good survivalists. Those with white wool and darker skin, the Kryg, live closer to the equator/south (the bottom half of the planet is mostly oceans and ice with little civilization residing there being that the islands available are basically unlivable) and are generally good with agriculture and such. They have very large plots of land and very large cities as well, surrounded by miles and miles of agriculture to feed the city. Those with green wool (a lime-ish color to a deep forest green), Druark, tend to be spread across the East, and generally are the most exploration-inclined. However, they are also the most oppressive, and as a result have taken over a large portion of the world. It is rare to see a Cyrrok without even a slight tinge of green from simply the invasion of Druark across the globe.

They are herbivorous and eat only plant life, but are able to digest meat if necessary. They must only have it in moderation, however, or they could get very sick. Special health needs includes being shaved every few months by another person.

This species is seen mostly as the quiet watcher, paying close attention to others without letting their guard down or allowing others to get an upper hand. Their leaders will speak when spoken to, but otherwise will watch with a stern glare. Despite being literal "sheeple", they have immense strength and will overtake someone if necessary. They also smell bad but that's more just the whole wool thing.

The planet is at the front of the habitable zone, and as a result is very warm. The planet has blue oceans and purple flora, making the planet appear very blue with a slight purple tinge.

The race inhabiting this planet is the Vlyfy, a race of very tall bipedal people. Their skin differs from area to area, but generally aligns with a warm pinkish color, much more pink than humans. Their limbs are very gangly and long, and their two arms extend to near their knees, and their very long hands extending to almost their ankles. They tend to be very tall and thin, and their hands have long nails that are almost impossible to cut due to the hardness. They have 2 fingers and two thumbs, both on the same side, and on their feet, they have 4 toes. Their feet work much more like hands than they do like our feet, and as a result are much more versatile and usable. They have no hair on their bodies but they do generally wear head coverings and hats on their head. Their heads also have unique shapes, most of which extending backwards to more of a football shape. Their faces tend to have large eyes and mouths with no nose and no ears, instead having ear holes on either side of their head and two slits above their mouth to smell and breathe.

They are purely carnivores, and at times cannibalistic. They must have food on a daily basis or will go into a hungry rage, being excessively violent and dangerous. However, this generally will not happen unless they go at least a week without eating while already eating sparsely. If they ate the regular meals three times a day and stopped eating altogether, it would take at least two weeks of eating nothing for this event to occur. Thus, on a ship with regular meals, this will not occur.

This species is seen as quite frightening, from both the appearance and the dangerous adrenaline-driven monsters that they can be once starved of food. As a result, most people fear them at a distance, despite many of them being actually quite nice.

Creator: Scrongo

The planet is very close to the sun, the surface being near inhabitable. The planet appears to be very red and dusty. As a result of this difficult surface, the entirety of the species lives underground.

The race living underground in this planet is the Dectre. The appearances changes between each subrace, but generally each of them have a similar shape. They have two legs with two knees, one forward and one backward, and different patterns glowing on their skin as well as eyes that glow as well. The different color of the glowing skin determines their subrace as well as their area of origin. They have two very large eyes on their head with two slits between and under them to breathe, and an excessively large jaw to accommodate for large, sharp teeth. Each of them have two forms, one being much stronger than the other. The first form is just as mentioned, but the second form, generally used in times of emergency or violence, is much larger, with an expanded jaw and spine as well as retractable claws on the fingers and a smaller, stronger set of arms retracting under the first. The switch between the two forms usually includes the sounds of the bones cracking and changing shape. The skin stretches very easily to accommodate this change in shape with ease.

There are 8 subspecies, which are Pearl, Rose, Ruby, Orange, Gold, Emerald, Cyan, Indigo, Amethyst, depending on the color of the glow. For the sake of simplicity, I will only describe each on request. If you intend on making a character of this species, please contact me for information first.

They are omnivorous, but refuse to eat something that they did not either cook themselves or watch the cooking of. As a result, they generally cook or help out when cooking. They also cannot look into or be in bright sunlight, and as a result must wear protective coverings in bright light. Overheating is common as well.

This species is seen as a largely "backstabbing" species, given how often they distrust one another and even other species, constantly being on the edge and refusing to make alliances. Although not every person of this species is like that, it is very common to think that way.

They have a gender binary in their race, using male and female.

Creator: Scrongo

The planet is between two gas giants, among three others. It has green oceans and red dirt, and as a result, looks largely green and red, but mostly red. The clouds are a light pink as well.

The race residing on this planet is the Aeryius, a scaled quadruped. All over their body they have light, sleek scales that are in clouds of light blue and purple. They have four legs and a two pairs of arms, making for a centaur-like body structure, with some organs residing in the top chest cavity but most of them residing between the front legs and the back legs. Their face has no scales, but it matches the blue color on their scales, with four sunken eyes with slit pupils and a slightly inward mouth with sharp teeth. Their arms are long and thin with long skeletal fingers with incredible sharp nails, and their legs are much stronger and thicker with paw-like feet with six toes. They have no tail, but they do have no longer functional webbed wings on their backs.

There are no subspecies within this race.

They are carnivorous, but absolutely refuse to eat anything dead for longer than a 50 hour period. As a result, preparing food for them on a space craft can be very difficult. What makes it even more difficult is that they require a lot of eating as well.

This species is highly opportunistic and violent, being the actual "backstabbers" that will use every opportunity to get ahead, even though the third gender generally doesn't do anything harmful at all.

They have three genders, which are determined more on hormones rather than parts. The most hormonally imbalanced are the most aggressive and are referred to as weonir. The middle, generally the most populated kind, is the roimes. They are stereotyped to be very opportunistic. The third, which is the least hormonally imbalanced, is the thanwao. They are very rare but also the most peaceful in that they feel no aggression towards others, even if competitive. Weonir uses she/her, roimes uses he/him, and thanwao uses they/them.

This race is also the race of Hyule, the original person who connected each habitable planet in the solar system. The current emperor is a descendant of this Aeryius, and shares his last name.
