Occupations

  • Background

This group is for a space craft entering and exploring other solar systems, with a theme similar to Star Trek in that it's a space craft exploring the galaxy for *science*. There will be a limited amount of people on board, however, as there is a limited amount of space. The space craft is the size of a larger house, but it cannot fit a large crew. Hence why there will be only 6 (or 7) people maximum.

The origin of this group is the emperor of Eoriye, emperor Hyule, intends on repairing the bonds of the different planets by organizing a group of people from each planet to discover the rest of the galaxy together. His true intentions are unknown, but each planet jumps at the opportunity to express their pride and bring forward their best person to begin this revolutionary exploration.

Below are the six different roles, five of which are playable. An optional seventh role will be opened only if requested.
  • Engineer

Although all explorers must have some knowledge on the space craft and how to navigate it or fix it in times of emergency, the engineer knows the most about it and is taught how to fix it in every which way or even create another with limited resources in case of an emergency.

Engineers are always prepared with a "watch" on their wrist that can project the different shapes and necessities for a craft or anything necessary to create, and even can be used to 3D print any material in case of an emergency when certain objects are fed into it. This watch will always have a backup on the space craft, but if both are broken/stolen, the engineer must know how to take care of the situation scientifically with quick thinking.
  • Medical Doctor

Although all members of the craft require having a doctorate (or whatever their planet's equivalent may be), the medical doctor is specialized in caring for all races and knowing what to do in medical emergencies. The doctor is required to know the body system of all races involved in the party, and thus have the abilty to care for them in an emergency.

However, if they do not have the ability to, they have special headgear that can analyze and produce x rays or scans of any person's body to see their innards or their bones and analyze their structure to begin to understand it. Their headgear is similar to a sort of flashlight on the forehead, and a piece of see through materical over one eye to allow the doctor to see the examinations and result. The headgear can also 3D print bones in the case of an emergency when fed the correct sort of materials. The ship has an additional healing ward where the doctor can conduct surgeries efficiently and safely. In this medical ward is also a database of the anatomy, illnesses, and cures for everything that would be necessary for the people they share the ship with.
  • Pilot

Despite that the engineer knows how the craft works and how to create another, nobody knows how to fly it as well as the pilot does. The pilot was taught specifically how to fly space crafts, and is the first to learn how to fly a solar system jumping craft. The pilot knows how to fix issues in an emergency but mostly is taught with quick thinking and how to correctly fly the craft safely. The warning signs and problems with the ship are shown most apparent to the pilot, and only the pilot knows how to fly the ship best, even when everyone is on deck and assisting. The pilot is also very frequently required to have a communicating relationship with the engineer due to their similarities and importance in knowing the ship's issues.

The pilot has a wristwatch as well with a completely different function than the engineer's- that is, it displays the location of the ship while not on it, and it displays any cameras on board the ship when switched between them. They also have the option of turning off power, sending the ship into camouflage mode, or even piloting it from afar.
  • Botanist

The botanist has the highest requirements for degrees in the fact that they have to have a lot of knowledge and also be able to analyze the flora of completely new planets. The botanist must also be communicating with the doctor in order to find, in the case of an emergency, if any flora is safe for the craft's members to eat.

Generally, a botanist will carry around a bag with them that will teleport all objects they place in it to a room specifically made to analyze these objects. They also will carry around a camera of sorts placed on their head, similar to the headgear the doctor wears. However, the main difference is that it is used less to analyze bodies and more to take pictures and recordings to be sent straight to the ship's database.
  • Zoologist

This job is very similar to the botanist, except that the zoologist analyzes fauna, not flora. The zoologist must be able toe recognize what sort of species a creature is and understand how it processes the planet's atmosphere in order to collaborate with the Doctor to see if their planet's people could process it in specific ways. However, the more important yet dirty job is to make incisions in creatures to analyze their organs and the way they work. The zoologist must have a love for animals but also understand that taking one life might change the future of science.

The zoologist must always carry with them a small folded button, which when laid out on the floor and pressed, will expand into a flat surface with tools to analyze and make incisions on the spot. Its expansion can be adjusted based on a dial in the corner, but generally it is large enough to hold most creatures on top of it.
  • Janitor

    ***UNAVAILABLE***

The janitor role is NPC only, and is characterized by mainly knowing how to clean everything and prepare food for the crew. The janitor has their own sleeping area and room, basically cramped full of cleaning supplies and a monitor to show all of the different rooms on the craft to see what needs cleaning, regardless of the constant patrolling they need to do regardless. The job itself is rather demeaning, and the janitor themselves is not permitted to be on any other communication frequency other than number 3, where the others must reach in order to contact them.

They have every cleaning supply under the sun for each and every planet, and the kitchen, although able to be accessed by anyone, is generally where they cook meals for the crew, three for every day (which is measured on a 24 hour basis for simplicity, being a mandated rule on the ship even if it doesn't match up with each personal planet's day).
