IC Laws/OOC Rules

  • Out Of Character Rules

The rules were last updated/reviewed on: 26th January 2008.

    1) No OOC. If you must be Out Of Character, then try to keep it to whispers or the @OOC room.

    2) Keep it Medieval. No high-tech equipment like mobile phones, computers, etc. Guns are not invented yet and so do not exist!

    3) Any actions made upon the tavern (e.g. tavern fire, raid, etc) or other buildings must be cleared with Paz.

    4) Please don't spam or advertise. It is considered impolite and is not acceptable. Posting or whispering this promotion will result in ejection.

    5) Idling/going AFK in the dream (being inactive for more than 30mins and no longer at the computer) to help keep it up is more than welcome. However, please keep it outside of the tavern common room - move the avatar to a secluded area or, preferably, go to the @OOC room. Otherwise, it may result in being moved or ejected. Go into the tavern to Role Play.

    6) No net speak. Try and be coherent or it will be likely to result in ejection.

    7) Humans/angels/demons/goblins/orcs etc are not allowed in this dream. Furres only. No excuses. Check the beastiary to see what does exist. See Useful Information to see a more extensive list of things that do not exist and things that need permission.

    8) No OOC religion. IC religion is the Primes. See Furcadia's webpage on the Primes for more information.

    9) Your character either originates from Kasuria, Drakoria or the Olde World. Kingdom of so-and-so far far away does not exist! If you mention the Olde World, it means that places like Italy are called Catolia, England is called Albion, etc.

    10) Your description constitutes of a visual description of your character and anything particular about their appearance. This needs to be about what someone sees when they look at you. Do not include things such as [yiffy] and [single]. Do not include a long winded history. That's what the character sheet is for! A character description, however short or long, is strongly advised when RPing here.

    11) While the consent rule is not a must here, please keep in mind that people might not want their character killed off. It is considered polite to ask first. The player of the character you may be able to kill has the right to refuse the death of their character. Don't forget, however, that IC actions yield IC consequences.

    12) Please remember to respect your fellow roleplayers and the dream's staff. Try to refrain from being abusive and argumentative. Remember that Furcadia is a game, and we're all here to have fun! We pride Leaky as being a friendly dream with little to no disputes between both staff and our rolpelayers.

    13) Although you are free to have as many alts as you wish, we strongly advise that you try to keep the amount you play in Leaky to a maximum of five. We would also like to remind you that your alts cannot interact with eachother, know one another or be your characters minions. The only exception allowed is in a situation such as parent and child.
