  • Joining A Party

There are several things to consider when joining a party. First of all, why is your character joining a group of adventurers? It’s not mandatory any character to ever join a party, so consider what reasons your character would have for wanting to join with others. What is your character hoping to get out of this party? Are they planning to betray the party at some point in the future or are they loyal to a fault? There are no wrong or right answers, and once again, twists and turns can make a great roleplay into a gripping one.

    When is your adventure complete?

Once your character and/or their party has met their goal, what comes next in their journey? Well, ultimately that’s up to you, the player. Communicating with other members about what your intention is when it appears your character’s journey has come to an end or if you’ve decided that they will meet a grisly end can help other players figure out how their character should react to your character’s death or choice to cease adventuring.
  • Methods of Transportation

There are several methods of traveling in different worlds of Final Fantasy though there are is some ambiguity between the worlds, two of the most common methods are Airships & Chocobos. Below are some tips for describing and using these methods of travel when your characters decide to travel.

"Final Fantasy XII offers a variety of airships. They come in a variety of sizes and shapes, and run off a combination of magic and electricity. History recorded that airships were first invented by the moogles. The discovery of Bhujerba by House Ondore has been credited to one of the first airship expeditions.

A variety of magicite called "skystone" is used to power the airships. Airships in Ivalice run on glossair rings, in which fuel produced from the Mist within Skystones runs through glossair engines. These shiny rings of blue can be seen in many airborne vehicles, from the small air cabs in the streets of Archades to the large Archadian military fleets invading the skies.

There are certain areas known as Jagds that standard airships cannot access because of the large amount of Mist in the air and the rich amount of magicite in Jagd soil. By using nethicite, airships are able to fly over Jagd territory.

Most airships are named after summons in previous games."

"Yellow chocobos are the tamed variety in Ivalice, and can be rented for transportation from Gurdy at most towns at ground level. The yellow chocobos allow players to ride them, provided they feed them from their stock of Gysahl Greens.

There are other variants fought in the wilds. These come in red, black, brown, green and white. There is also a rare variant of black chocobo, a powerful red variant, and a white chocobo recognized as an Elite Mark.

Some story elements require characters to use a chocobo, and in those situations they are free of charge. Riding a chocobo allows the character to cross maps faster without being harassed by enemies."
