    ⠀⠀➥Arrival for Non-Bermudians

⠀⠀Those not native to the Bermuda Pyramid Galaxy arrive via the Keista Wormhole- this can be intentional or accidental via space travel. It is impossible to travel back through the wormhole, however, and all communication into and out of the galaxy are non-functioning.

۞Upon Arrival: Tuphon, Arrival Planet. Generally your character will land on Tuphon, the ⠀⠀⠀closest planet to the wormhole. With a dusty, hazardous atmosphere and frequent ⠀⠀⠀electrical storms, non-natives would die if not for the altruistic mega-corporation Dr Domo.

۞Dr Domo: Protective Gear, or New Body Issued. Dr Domo has drones patrolling ⠀⠀⠀Tuphon, which make contact with, and drop off, atmospheric protective equipment to ⠀⠀⠀newcomers. Arrivals (dead or alive) are also given the option of having their consciousness ⠀⠀⠀transferred to new bodies, whether organic or android.

Organic and android bodies can be of any race and look however you so choose- memories and learned skills, too, can be kept in tact. Each body comes with its racial advantages and disadvantages, however; for example, Tuphon's atmosphere will still be toxic to most, save for androids, who being technological constructs do not need to breathe.

    ⠀⠀➥Regarding Humans

⠀⠀Feel free to play any variety of character, from any era- their backstory can be kept in tact. The methods listed below are merely suggestions (and can be used for non-humans as well); we always welcome new ideas in terms of transference between galaxies.

۞Modern Humans: Space-farers. In a galaxy far, far away, Earth is currently in its ⠀⠀⠀present-day. Feel free to have your character arrive via a (failed or successful) space ⠀⠀⠀mission, cryofreezing, or alien interference.

۞Historical Humans: From any Era. Soviet space mission gone rogue? Did your medieval ⠀⠀⠀character find a 'mystical' item given to them by a mysterious alien stranger transporting ⠀⠀⠀them to the new galaxy, or were they abducted and kept in stasis for millennia? These ⠀⠀⠀humans can be from any time period, and their original backstory can be kept in tact.

۞Bermudian Humans: Descendants of Earth. Humans have been coming to the ⠀⠀⠀Bermuda Pyramid Galaxy for centuries. These ancestors of Earth, called Terrans, are now ⠀⠀⠀settled on various colony worlds. Varying humanoid races have also concurrently evolved ⠀⠀⠀throughout the galaxy, allowing for further physical and cultural character customization.

    ABOUT
Welcome to the Bermuda Pyramid Galaxy (BPG) as it's called by the first human explorers who were trapped here, much like Earth’s very own Bermuda Triangle. Though explorers here are unable to leave, they can start their lives anew! Surrounding this massive galaxy is an impenetrable mass of asteroids, debris, and fragmented ships from those who attempted and failed to leave -- even when creating the same kind of wormhole that brought them here.

    ARRIVAL

    15Tp7it.jpg
    The arrival planet, Tuphon

Though you are welcome to recreate your character as a Bermudian Galaxy native, you might also be inclined to have them arrive with their original back story completely in tact.

So, how can they get here? Since this is sci-fi we have two approved ways, though let us know if you have another one!

    Space travel through a wormhole
    • It's preeeetty!
    • Futuristic, space traveling aliens trying to pass through a wormhole in spacetime find themselves mysteriously ending up somewhere completely unintended: an unknown, undocumented, unresearched galaxy (Bermuda Pyramid). They will later find out they landed in orbit of planet Tuphon, the "arrival" planet.
    • When they arrive, they cannot leave. In other words, they cannot create another wormhole out of this galaxy (traveling through the galaxy via wormhole still works, however), and they cannot communicate with their original galaxy or receive any other communication from their previous side of the universe. No one knows why exactly, yet.

    Accidental wormhole, planet to planet
    • Although extremely unlikely as a possibility IRL, mainly we’re using it to allow characters of earth, most commonly Humans, to arrive here.
    • It has been described that wormholes would be almost like opening a door (metaphorically - the visual is more like the video) and your character would instantly be on the other side, unable to return.
    • If they aren’t wearing protective enough gear, your character would be unable to survive the journey/climate conditions upon arrival, as their body deposits on the Arrival planet for travelers, Tuphon. And that planet is not exactly suited for most organic life.
    • So how could they survive..? Read on for details!

    DR DOMO

This is the eccentric, but not Orwellian-ly huge factory/lab behind most of BPG's base technology. The founder of this company maintains strong beliefs in preserving diversity, and so they created millions of drones to monitor for new arrivals.

Dr Domo provides 3 options to ensure the survival of new arrivals:
    • Protective equipment: this will be gear specially made to help aliens survive differences in atmosphere, levels of background/cosmic radiation, soil conditions, pathogens and parasites, etc. Only available if the alien can convey very detailed information specific to their home world in order to have the equipment be created.
    • Being remade into a planet-specific body: If Dr Domo finds an alien before it dies, they will also have the option to have their consciousness be placed into another new body.. One that will thrive in the planet of that alien’s choosing (and it can look either completely different, like one of the natives of the planet, or very similar to its original appearance). The downfall of having a new, yet organic body is that it will be limited to surviving on only one planet. It will again require protective equipment to survive anywhere else.
    • Being remade into an android: If any aliens/humans are dead upon arrival, Dr Domo drones will pick up the bodies, take them to the lab, and reincarnate them into an android. This android version of the character looks almost the same, and preserves all the idiosyncrasies of the character. Best of all, androids are immune to most issues that come from varying planetary conditions, so they're flexible space explorers! While Dr Domo members claims this exchange is done for free... could there be a hidden price?

How to implement what each of these options look like visually for your character is completely up to you! Creative freedom!

Please read through Getting Started to get a feel for character adaptation / creation.

Continuity has lore specific to the Bermuda Pyramid galaxy, which you are optionally welcome to incorporate into your RP. (Stuff like the NPCs and factions). However, please note that some character restrictions are listed there as well, such as the Biochemical Barriers section! So give it a read too! :)

    REGARDING HUMANS

Regarding humans and any variation of them:
    • While Earth is currently set in the present day for this universe, humans have been inadvertently transported to the Bermuda Pyramid Galaxy for centuries.
    • This means you can play any of the following:
      • Historical humans: Those in stasis for all this time due to some kind of alien interference and are only just now waking up. (This formula will let you keep the backstory of a character from, say, a traditionally medieval setting.)
      • Modern humans: Those of today's world.
      • Descendants of humans: Those whose ancestors eventually settled one of the Terran colony worlds in the Bermuda Pyramid Galaxy and are therefore familiar with the futuristic worlds and space travel already.
    • Technologically advanced humanoids: You may also choose to design your own original non-Earth origin humanoids (similar to the humanoid aliens in Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Wars, Star Trek, etc.) and develop your own unique backstories for them, their homeworlds, and cultures. These characters can look similar to humans from Earth, or have their own unique features (such as unusual skin colors, horns, etc).

    DREAM FEATURES

Some amazing and innovative DS features (made by El Furriando / Jake) to make roleplaying easier include:
    • Map buttons and code:
      • Click map to open the areas and auto-warp there if you click
      • Diamonds are color coded to give you a quick sense of how many people are in each area!
      • Red diamond means lots of people, green means some people, grey means no players!
      • If you click the diamond, you can easily see which players are in that area!
    • Faction buttons and code:
      • The new faction button has a menu drop down, and you can easily set a faction for yourself!
      • When people look for RPers they'll easily see what kind of general niche your character will fill for their RP, if they need to form a new team for a particular plot!
      • Factions include: Explorer, Defender, Techs, Medics, and Merchants!
    • Seeking RP toggle
      • Easily show people you're willing to RP! It automatically includes your Faction too!
      • If people abuse the toggle there's DS to help make sure they stop for awhile so that our Rp list stays somewhat accurate.. and speaking of that...!
    • RP List button
      • Now you can see when people have added themselves to the RP list, LIVE! The numbers to the left update automatically when people toggle that they're Seeking RP!
      • Clicking the RP list button shows a full list of the people who've indicated they wanna RP, where they're at, and their faction!
      • If people who're on the RP list enter a private area, such as a private room, this system will automatically remove them from the list so they don't have to worry about that!
      • And to complement that, when you've re-entered a public area it auto-adds you back to the RP list! It also remembers to add you back to the list if you leave the Dream.
