I knock on the door, before slipping it open. I just wanted to ask Dr Leigha a few questions. "Hello Dr. Leigha." I said politely, giving her a nod. "I had a few questions." I didn't bring my clipboard and as a result, didn't have my questions written down. I struggled to remember something. "I wanted to know what our purpose here is. I know I'm looking at the children and learning about them, but what are we trying to do in the long run?"

Leigha looked up from her desk when she heard a knock at the door, and saw Dr. Angevin enter the room, empty handed. Intrigued, wondering what the visit could be for, she turned her attention to the scientist. "Hello, Dr. Angevin," she said.

Dr. Angevin stated that she had a few questions, and the doctor nodded. Answering inquiries happened to be something she didn't mind, almost enjoyed even. And the scientist's question...it only added to the intrigue. What was the reason behind it? Leigha pondered a moment before answering.

"This institution is dedicated to the study of the origin and properties of the arcane and unexplainable. 'Magic,' as it's refered to in popular media. All those being studied here have some sort of unusal ability, an unexplained power that falls into this category. We seek to find the source and uncover the mysteries surrounding 'magic' through science," the doctor explained.
The study of the origin and properties of the arcane and explainable. Was it just me or was that rather vague? I swallowed, my fist clenched and my nails bit into my palm in anxiety. "I just want to know that you aren't trying to change these people here, or trying to make them normal. I want to know that you will try to help them flourish with information I give you and not smother them until their magic dies. A lot of people are afraid of people with magic."
Doctor Solari knocked on the door to Doctor Amerson’s office with the back of his knuckles to announce his arrival. He opened the door without waiting for any signal from Doctor Amerson.

“Doctor Amerson?” He asked, wedging his foot into the doorway to stop her office door from shutting on him. “Sorry to interrupt, but I’d like you to look over some medical release forms for a test I’ll be running tomorrow,” he said as he held up a few papers.
