In the realm of Willowbay, the rules are set in stone, centuries old and unbending.

Only males of great wealth, or of noble lineage or of a truly outstanding skill may become a knights of the realm. These are strong, brave, loyal men who live to fight and die in service of the crown, for honour and glory, for king and country. These warriors of the crown hold the right to bear arms, to partake in tournaments and to ask any maiden's hand in marriage by the end of it, be she high-born or of a lower station.

It seemed an acceptable enough rule, it certainly made attending tournaments all the more appealing.

What maiden would have the fortune to be crowned as queen of beauty and valor and be settled with the champion, it was anyone's guess. Almost all maidens tried their hardest to look the best and stand out from the crowd so as to be the chosen one.
Lady Morgana was likely the only young eligible woman who showed no interest in being chosen, far more focused on the combatant's techniques and moves, committing them to memory to practice them later.

While she was the daughter of the king, she far preferred the jousting grounds themselves, with the sweat, blood and tears than the safer, more comfortable stand where she was made to sit at, alongside her hand maidens.

No sooner the tournament finished and the king retired, she made her way to Sir Lucas, head knight of the realm and her appointed bodyguard.

"I need to let some steam out this morning" Muttered Morgana entering his tent to change attire, leaving the fancy silky dress behind, to don chainmail and leather, and a sword ready for battle.

After sparring for quite some time in the forest, by the city outskirts, she made her way back to the city, to Sir Lucas tent to change attire again, on her way to the city crossing paths with a newly arrived warrior she had never seen before.

He looked more a troubadour than a knight, sword to one side but a lute?! in hands, a romantic type perhaps, certainly not the choice of weaponry for one about to join blood shedding tournaments and wrestling rounds, but that didn't bother her, what troubled her was the fact that he walked in the middle of the way, delaying her return, increasing the chances of her father catching her.

"Do move out of the way, sir knight, some of us are in a hurry" Demanded Morgana somewhat impatiently, forced to halt the horse to not trample that man.
